You keep coming up with all these vids and stats about how terrible it all is/has been , so whats your take on how to stop it happening again . I've already had my say about the UEFA deciding where the finals will be held as soon as the 2 finalists are known [ for capacity sake ] There should be NO public drinking , Bars should be shut 2 hours before kick-off , No cans or plastic bottles should be allowed where the big screens are . Thats how i see it how about you ?

| On events the other night, what a let down. Any Rangers fan must be truly sick by how its all ended up. Manchester got invaded and the fans it seemed were lighting the place up. Creating an amazing atmosphere and marking the occasion superbly, as well as scaring the fook out of Manchester with the bouncy ![]() Through the game the fans were brilliant as well, really did the club proud. But by gawd they ruined it all. While coppers and Manchester City council fooked up, nothing can excuse what Rangers fans did. They tarnished the image of what is supposedly their club. None of the great things Rangers fans did will be remembered, just the riots and trouble that hit Manchester. Rangers are taking the right action imo, name and shame the lot of them, hitting some with life bans from Ibrox might mean fook all mind, some probably have never been. While there is no excusing what the idiot minority did, UEFA and City councils need to learn how to host a final. I dare say it'll only ever be a problem when British sides are in the final, you just can't get a stadium big enough to hold the numbers that will want to go and then do go, but things like fanzones around the city need to be setup and work. A year ago in Athens nothing was setup - no ticket then good luck finding somewhere to watch the game. That day Liverpools idiots made the headlines, and disgraced the club. Maybe in Moscow things will be different. Visa issues for a start, no ticket and you probably can't go. UEFA just don't understand the mindset of british fans though imo. With an Italian club or Spanish club they might get tickets going spare for the final, but with the likes of Rangers, Celtic, Utd, Liverpool they could sell their allocation about 10 times over. |

| Simple fact is any club, town, city has its trouble makers, and any story has 2 sides (there was blatantly innocents gettin a clump in manchester) and with 100,000 + drinking in the sun all day this sort of thing is never a million miles away, throw a broken screen into the mixer moments b4 KO and there u go, it was the igniter, would it ave appened if the screen didnt break down? we'll never know but prob not. Some people need to get over it, are celtic fans all trouble makers just cos i saw a tramp in a celtic shirt get a bit fisty with 2 coppers a couple of years back?..answer is of course no, and the same applies ere. |

It's not possible for a location of a final to be decided on who is in it, yes it would be the most sensible way but from a logistics point of view its lunacy. These things are planned months in advance with the police, its hard for them to set up a plan on how to police an event of this size with only 2 weeks notice. Why they held the game in the City of Manchester Stadium when Old Trafford a stadium nearly twice the size was available is astounding. For me Old Trafford is a far greater setting for a European final, COM stadium should never have been considered due to its size. You cant ban drink from these things. I mean when has there EVER been trouble of this scale at a European final in the last 15 years?? I personally am struggling to think of any. Just because the moronic element of the Rangers support acted like animals should not spoil a great day out for all future fans. I mean when the Uefa cup final was in Glasgow it was a great day. The Sevilla fans were sensational, a true credit to their club and their country. Created a magnificent atmosphere, as did the Espanyol fans and yet there was not the slightest hint of trouble. It appears the organisation of this event was pretty shambolic. Manchester City council must be in part held accountable for what happenned, but the true measure of accountability must be landed at the door of Ibrox stadium. I will be truely surprised if Rangers are not heavily punished for the conduct of their fans, especially due to their recent history of misconduct in european away grounds. (not trying to start an arguement just calling it like I see it )

| The final's are planned 3 years in advance. I actually bet Man Utd don't want to get to the next Champions League final as it's being held at Roma's ground. Oh yeah Gaz and are you going to use violence to make me kiss it,typical Scotland Fan ![]() ![]() ![]()
