Default BBC overhype!!!

I was just scanning the BBC sports website as ever when i see a little caption in the corner saying ' Was Lionel Messi's goal for Argentina against Mexico the best you have seen?' Immidiately i remember a recent Messi goal in spain last season which was maradona esque and i'm thinking surely he can't have scored another sick goal - even better then that! So i go straight to youtube and have a gander expecting an amazing goal. But what do i see? A bloody chip! Chips which Rooney does in his sleep and not even worth another mention other than being a 'very good goal', but the Beeb have the cheek to ask us - a footballing nation - whether that's the best goal we've seen!! Sorry but that's really pissed me off!

Chill out ol boy! It was just a comment to start a debate which is what the Beeb message boards are about. All today's talking points have been killed many times in the last month or so - Tevez, West Ham, Leeds etc etc. Of course it isn't the best goal anyone's seen and like you rightly say his goal against Getafe was so much better but it gets a debate started

Well i can only go on what i see and this was it:

Messi's magic goal
Was Lionel Messi's goal for Argentina against Mexico the best you have seen?

If i'd known it was just a comment from someone on 606 i'd have taken no notice at all, but it was made to look as if the BBC think the goal was god-like with it's own section and everything, not just a side quote from a 606'er (which i never look at btw). So now i'm annoyed at the BBC for mis-representing themselves

(Thanks for moving the post Aliando! )

You cant put Ronaldo and Rooney in the same class as Messi and Torres in the same class as any of them

I know Torres was only because i ran out of names

BUT Rooney and Ronaldo!...... Easily in the same bracket as Messi, i reckon Ronaldo is the best out of these, but Kaka the best in the world atm imo.

Its all about opinions but I think Messi is a level above from what I see at the minute.....

I agree Kaka is stil the finest in the world but Leo is starting to push him very very close for my money.......if he stars on sunday in the final V Brazil it will be interesting, He is a real big game player as well, dont think Ive ever seen a big game where he hasnt shone.
