£100 Bank Quests for all those seeking Glory - New Quest

1). Any match of the from the following topd divsions can be bet on - English, Rep. Irish, Scottish, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Turkish, Greek, Belgian, Dutch, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Brazilian, Argentinian, Austrian, Swiss, Czech and Polish anyway. (I can check the scores of these and therefore can tell whether people bets have won or not).

All divsions in Scotland, England (Conference is fine), and both Rep. Irish divisions. Predictions/bets on 2nd divsions in Italy, Germany, France, Netherlands and Spain are also fine (as I can get these results as well).

Cup games are grand too even if they involve teams that would otherwise be in non bettable divisions, and all international matches (friendlies, cups and qualifiers) can also be bet on. CL, intertoto, UEFA of course are all fine.

2). Anyone can put their quest for glory in here - it's not a personnel thread. Simply put in an initial bank and off you go - please place the odds of your teams. If there in more than one bet you don't have to post the same price more than once.

3). Don't post up your bets after the match has started/finished - it's annoying, and I seem to remember that it breaches some PL rules on after eventing.

4). *Don't alter your bet posts after matches are over - some people may honsetly be using it update their banks, but it is possible to change your selections, creating a falsely high bank (i.e. a winner when it wasn;t really) - anyway it serves no purpose so I can't imagine would be done anyway, just setting it out in the rules in case.

* Was guilty of this twice last year, due to Friday posts, and changes of bets later (because I couldn't post at the weekends - youve all probably noticed I don't post on Saturdays and Sundays). It does annoy though, and I won't do it again.

5). Any bet is allowed - such as specials, but please clearly state the odds and where you are getting the bet from. I know many bookies such as Paddy Power do these sort of deals. You CAN include such bets in your quest - just clearly state where you get them from and the odds. Used them myself a couple of times.

6). Massive accies are allowed, but be careful when doing them. A 1/20 bet on Club Brugge vs Charleoi bust a ten team accy for me last year.

7). Correct Scores, First Scorer and HTFT bets are also allowed, though personnaly 1st scorer bets and correct scores (bar some internationals) will leave you with zero in the bank. Unadvisable, but use these types of bets in your quest if you wish - just post the odds. If you wish to lay teams you can also, again post the odds though.


ADDITIONAL RULES;

1). All peopple start with a bank of zero, and can stake a maximum of 100 Pts worth of unsettled bets at anyone time.

2). The limit of 100Pts doesn't apply to profit, if you are +100Pts or more. (i.e. you can have as much profit on the line as you wish)

For example;

Bank 450.

140 Pts on Team A - This is fine, youre not dipping into minus here.

Bank 80 Pts

140 Pts On Team A - This is not ok, as you are exceeding 100 Pts and going minus (i.e. -60). If you were to stake 100 Pts or less that would be ok, as long as you show that you are in minus.

3). Top Ups arenot allowed, bets when you have a minus balance should be added to your minus total and musn't exceed 100 Pts. I.e. Current bank - Minus 20. Bet 60 Pts on Team A, New Bank Minus 80 Pts.


4). Post odds of bookie youre using. If it it is an obscure bookie, make sure that the price can be checked online by someone prior to kick off in the event of it being queried.

5). In store bets quoted in the form of on line prices please. If you mak a bet in store, put up the online price if possible - It is unusual to have a price alteration, though it does occasionally happen. If you got a better price in store than on line don't post it, just enjoy the extra winnings :b

i.e If you bet on Team A in store with Boyle Sports @ 5/6, an online it's 4/5, put up the 4/5.

6). Under and Over Goals Bets are also allowed.

This is a DRAFT - any potential problems with these rules should be put up as soon as possible.

Maybe just a suggestion to be added to your rules. But, along the lines of the nobookie rules, would you think about bringing in a rule where the price displayed is the price available, ON THE BOOKIE's site (not on an odds comparison site) at the time of posting the bet here?

Great to see you back, FA. After following your first quest for the last few months of it, I have developed a great respect for your analysis and picks. I now always make a point of looking at your choices each day I'm considering a bet, and if you've chosen the same match, it gives me an added confidence that it will win.

I think it was one bet in particular that cocked it up for you last time - was it CSKA Moskow - Vardar or something? We all have those silly bets sometimes, where we put all our remaining bank on, then wonder why the hell we did it when it goes tits up.:rolleyes

Just flagging it up because I have noticed one bet posted on the thread already where the price quoted wasn't available at the time of the post. Not saying anyone is being dishonest at all (and I want to make that crystal clear), maybe they just picked up the price from another post on the PL or, as I mentioned, an odds comparison site.

Anyway, just something for you to consider, I will leave it in the hands of the people who want to post on the thread what to decide.

I want to put a bet on Inverness HTFT.

The single price is for I.C.T. is 4/11 (Paddy Power).

The online doesn't have HTFT for this match - but in store you can just make em up from the charts. Do either of you know the HTTT for 4/11? Just I won't be on a computer between when the bet is made and the match kicks off. If it's too dodgy ok, but I'm sure the HTFT for 4/11 is general knowledge.
