Devil May Cry 4 is ! So I guess that makes it my next purchase and for £30 from Play.Com then it looks like it will be well worth it.

The demo offers up two modes of play; One is a timed level where you try to kill as many enemies as possible and complete the level inside 10 minutes. Not as easy as it could be as there are a LOT of enemies to kill and the game introduces a number of cool new moves. Maybe they are not brand spanking new but the ability to pull enemies closer to you and the ability to use Devil Bringer to teleport between activated zones makes for a good addition to the game.

The second mode seems to just be a journey mode that sees you take on ice creatures, not sure of their exact name in the game but they seemed easy enough to fight. You then meet a creature not dissimilar from the one the Balrog that pulled Gandalf down in Lord of the Rings. Although for some very unusual reason it almost looks as if it is fighting you with an 'appendage'!

This game definitely has the cool factor in my mind and unleashing through a crowd of enemies and being awarded different levels depending on your slashing combos makes for an extra wow. The bonuses you can get through the orbs and the hidden orbs will no doubt help to unlock new items, moves and bonuses in the full game.

So yep for me at the moment I would give this game 8/10 for the graphics, smooth gameplay and new features and ideas. The only downfall is whether after much playing the game will get samey and I guess that will only be realised upon playing the full version of the game.

Keep finishing midtable with Headquarters clashes which I'm happy about. Never really finish bottom of the pile and pick up kills wherever and securing or cancelling the ownership of the base. I've managed to shoot down a few helicopters now as use the perk of having 2 rockets to fire, just as I think at the moment it's the most suitable perk. I use the perk that sees you drop a grenade when you die and I have Sonic Boom on to so the grenade is that much more effective ie kill me and there's a chance I'm taking you down with me!

I'm only on level 25 but just want to rank up as quick as possible from now on!

Where should I be jumping from, to my death, so that I can pass that challenge?

Almost level 30! And just called in my first Helicopter! Was playing Headquarters, our team already had 200, still I unleashed it and it picked up a few kills. I think only 3 or 4 but it helps the kill rate I guess!

Find that the game gets easier the higher you progress and nothing like picking off groups of the other team in one go! Great when they're all just lined up together like skittles at a bowling alley! Throw a grenade down the alley and boom, they all fall down!

Sure somewhere I said I wanted level 30 by the end of the week. I might even unlock that level by the end of tonight!

Oh and Gaz, tried to add you but guess you're just not ready for the challenge yet and turned my friend invite down!

I'm back home early, had overtime to take and thought why the hell not take it today?

So told them all I was going back to study! Instead think I'll be reporting for Duty online very soon instead. Will give you a shout Carl when I'm about, just grabbing a cuppa and a sandwich first... even the best need some kinda sustinence to keep going! And well, as you'll soon see, I'm far from the best!

Just been online for couple deathmatches, earned over 300 bonus with over 25 combined kills in 2 games! Kicked mate's ass in the one I didn't do so well in! 11-3.... is 3 even taking part in the game?

Loving the AK47 with silencer! Up to Level 35 now! So unlocked Eavesdropping... for me I hate hearing people talk about random crap, so definitely not using that perk!

I think I'm one of those scattergun players that gets by but leaves his whole team. When they realise that he would rather clock up kills than lock in the headquarter. Kinda had that reaction coming through earlier when I was the last man standing!

I ended the game as our top player though with 56 kills, having called in an airstrike too and several UAVs. This was in that tiny level but I was still happy enough with finishing top! Also gained a 300 match bonus in the process, which I think is my highest so far.

What's the highest match bonus you guys are getting?

Anyhows the AK47 with silencer is pure genius, it's great for close combat, silenced so the only noise is them screaming and you can't be spotted on map. Add that in with the UAV Jammer and it's a great combo! Now I just want dead silence and I can be the ultimate in stealth. Figure it's going to be a lot more effective picking up kills without dying. That way can call in airstrike and helicopter and get more kills for my lives.

Should try it, when the opponents team appears on the UAV scan, usually there are times when they appear as a cluster. If you know the level well enough, as with stealth you go unnoticed, creep around the back and multi kills are on!

Just finished watching Ashes to Ashes and totally shattered! Not sure if I'll be back on COD any time later tonight. Will probably be on some time over the weekend though.

Bought Devil May Cry 4 earlier! Sad state of affairs though that every decent game these days seems to have a number as a suffix!! My games collection to date includes:

Forza Motorsport 2, Devil May Cry 4, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Pro Evo (whatever number is latest one) and that Pinata or whatever it's called that was crap but free with Xbox.

Where are all the decent games that aren't sequels?

I dont know how many times you got me (I dont tend to notice who kills me any more ) but it was damn satisfying getting you with my "last stand" after you downed me

Looking through the stats, my accuracy is better than yours, my kill/killed ratio is about the same and that's all without the red dot and other unlocked equipment you have

I was pretty humiliated in the games though

Pretty poor how difficult it is to get in a game together though.....

Its fooking brilliant isnt it, I manged to get a copy of number 2 also, well worth it if you can get hold of a pre owned one.
But the whole GH is brilliant, my kids love it.

I even got for my other daughter for her Wii as she was always playing on my xbox.

I haven't been online so much with COD4 lately though, just sinking my teeth and battering my devil bringer through in to Devil May Cry 4. I'm really liking it as it's similar to the first game with some enhanced features. I'm sooo stuck right now though, figure might be something I missed from DMC2 or 3. As I have no idea what it's asking me to do right now!
