Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
anyone got this?



Absolute awesome game, the graphics is right up there with Gears of War/Halo and Ive heard that the online section is mental, better than Halo 3 online

My trial Gold Membership has expired so Im off to get a 13month sub.

but the game as a 1 player is brilliant.
its a bit easy on the 2nd hardest level so It might be worth jumping in at the deep end and go for the veteran hardness.




The graphics and the fact that you can shoot anything and create damage is 1 of the things I look for in a game.
Shoot windows they smash, shoot cars and they catch fire and blow up, shoot cans and they move. Things like that make a game 'real'.

Got it the other day, best shooter game i've played for ages, so realistic it sucks you right into the battle.

As said the controls are perfect, many games use too many buttons but this has it spot on

Just need to find time to play it, what with FM2008, Hellgate, Tiger Woods 2008 and have just got Crysis (not tried it yet).

Got this last thursday for PS3, its fecken awesome, only exception is that single player is very short, very good game play but very short, think i played it for about 12 - 15 hours over 2days and its done, thats even on the hardest level.

Online is fecken were this game is at its best, cracken gameplay and loads of different game types to play. The more XP you get the better perks, weapons and add ons u get making you a Killing machine.

If you aint got it, get it.

wouldnt say its boring its just that theres not much to do really as in game play but I suppose its a way of letting you in gradually, it pretty much plays itself but its still good.

ive been out of touch with consoles for about 2 years, last one I got was the 1st xbox and didnt really get into the xbox 360 from the first wave.
but the difference in games from Vice city/san andreas/fifa 07/Black/batman Begins to halo 3 gears/bioshook and now this is a massive jump forwards.
God knows where we'll be in another 2 years.

the GTA series were a massive jump forward IMO, is this really the same sort of jump mate ?

I dont think COD 4 is a massive jump IMO, ok i agree that the Graphics are superb and the game itself is good, but behind this we have:

Its the same as COD 1,2,3 gameplay wise, the AI is the same when u die and retry a mission, they will always be in the same place and do the same thing. Also if ur struggling all u have to do is run for the checkpoint, this stops the bit ur on, so all the enemies stop and the next part of the mission kicks in, so if ur struggling run like feck for the objective.

Ur squad members are fecken sh1te, they get in ur way, block doors, and dont move unitl u do.

Also total enviroment destruction would have been better, not just some windows can be broken and if u hit a house with a rocket it should blow a hole in it. They should have followed suit with Mercs, this game and Mercs2 has total enviroment destructions.

Online tho this game is one of the best, good game modes, the graphics and gameplay excel here and TBH its like being in a real war, more strategy involved. Its ACE.

It will be intersting to c what GTA brings, lets see if we finally get next gen and not top end PS2 games.

i just finished it today, very very short but still a cracking game.

I agree with lemonjon about the AI's, they do get in the way and then you get fooked for friendly fire

I liked the end mission aboard the airplane and now have unlocked some cheats( not really cheats just different screen colours etc ie B&W and high contrast)

Ive not been on the multiplayer yet but again as Lemonjon said that side of it is suppose to be awesome.

Mercs was a brilliant game as I did a thread about it in here before, hope they do a new one for the 360

Guitar Hero III is mental, I had a go on the brother-in-laws version with the Guitar fooking brilliant when you get it right but soooooo bad when you dont, i got the demo here but stuck with just the game pad which makes it 100x's harder.

£70(or so!!) for the game and guitar is probably a bit steep but you do get alot of hardware for your money and hours of fun.

Would love to see this at a PL meet-up instead of a karaoke plus you can play 2 player also 1 doing bass the other the lead.

If your into this then you'll rave about it and if your into rock music then maybe its worth the purchase.

get it through some decent speakers and dim the lights
