Can you play old Xbox games on the 360 straight away?

Just selling my old Xbox and wondering if its worth keeping the games

The 360 is backwards compatible so the answer is yes, unlike the Ps3 which Sony decided to remove the engine from the European version.

You can play about 80% of the games immediately, some just need a download patch to work and a few are not compatable.

It is dependent on having a hrad drive I believe - so if you have the core version, then you cannot until you get a hard drive (A hard drive is pretty important for your system - I cant believe they sell them without!!)
