X -Box problem - The Punters Lounge

I have a problem with my x-box whenever I put an x-box game in it loads as normal but when the game starts it pauses and i have to turn the power off. It allows me to play the demo games but games i have brought they all pause. Any ideas???? thanks in advance.

Sounds like the laser isnt reading the disc.
Its playing the Demos cus there storded on the HD.
is it under warrenty? if not try a laser cleaner but TBH thats just clutching at straws.

Did the xbox have a hard disk?

(I presume we're not talking Xbox360 here)

Sorry its an Xbox360, so yes it does have an hard drive. It could well be the laser. Not sure how to rectify this but i have contacted the XBox support line, and am expecting a reply within 24 hours. Cheers.
