System Mechanic 7 - The Punters Lounge

dave - this isn't a problem with my pc
thats ( cough ) working fine

its a problem with SYSTEM MECHANIC 7

when i run TOTAL CARE
i get a SYSTEM 87 ERROR - THE PARAMETER IS INCORRECT

now I contacted customer support and they put me onto
the Microsoft website.

what a bloody awful website that is - clear as mud

I am no wiser after reading that so
back to Iola customer support and I tell them
what i think about their so called customer support
I told them all i wanted was a link to a download or something
that would correct it.
I told them that i was thinking of uninstalling the software and
looking elseware ( their competitors ) for software that worked.
thought i would at least get a reply
even a fcuk off then - but no NOTHING, ZILCH, BILLOCKS

maybe i cut my nose off to spite my face as my gran used to say
but I have now UNINSTALLED SYSTEM MECHANIC 7
i didn't want to - I wanted it to work and do its job - too much to ask ?

IOLA SYSTEM MECHANIC 7
CUSTOMER SUPPORT - what a laugh - they couldn't give a *hit .

I wish i hadn't paid for it now
I could have got it free
still i only paid 1/2 price thru Zonelabs

Wont be buying any Iola software again thats for sure.

Anyone else had this problem ?

I have System Mech Pro 7 and have never come across this let alone encountered any problems mate.

I tried the first edition of SM7 and it crashed two PCs - requiring complete reinstalls. I got no response at all from contacting Iola.
I reinstalled SM6 and it works just great as usual.

I wonder with these companies if they ever have any of the staff left who wrote the original stuff. Those remaining seem clueless to help anyone and an email ignored is a problem solved in their view. Ironically, if you go with freeware you can get a quick, interested and helpful response direct from the actual software author.

what does seem clear is
you either LOVE or HATE System Mechanic
no one is sitting on the fence.
but as yet no one has had a SYSTEM 87 ERROR
it only happened while it was clearing temp. internet cache files
in TOTAL CARE
