| Hi guys, I have a small buisness and we use sage line 50, everything is going well and buisness is good. Thing is i now have three office staff, three computers, but only one has sage on it. Anyone know how i can get sage on each computer and also connected to each other ie if someone puts an order through it shows on them all. I know i could ring sage but every time i do the say yes we can do that for you give us £250 a month for the next ten years or something along those lines |

| I think to have sage on all the computers may require contacting sage for a license to all such (I think anyway) and to answer your other question I think you would need to create a network which would link all the computers together, these are only rough answers of the top of my head, I'm sure someone else could be a bit more detailed. |

| As I understand your question you do not need a copy on each computer. You want just one networked copy on one computer or network server. That way any user adds his data or order to the server copy whilst Sage is locked (automatically) for him/her alone. As soon as he/she is finished, that data is viewable by all users on the network. There can be no duplication as there is only one copy. Need to find out if your current copy of Sage is networkable. If not, buy one copy that is. No need to pay anything to maintain that networked data either. |

| You have 2 options for what you want to do. Either get a 5 user license, which would be installed on eacu of the computers. When someone makes a change or processes an order, this is communicated with each of the other computers. This can be slow and quite computer intensive, but cheaper than the other option, which is a true client/server solution. Here, you would need to buy a proper server (if you dont already have one) and install sage on that. Any updates from the client user computers are sent to the server. Better performance and probably more reliable, but would be more expensive. Steve.
