Resident Evil ~ looking for similar

Guys, i'm playing Res Evil 4 at the moment on PS2, not played this for ages and getting back into it and loving it again.

Just wondered when ive finished this game i'd like to find something similar as i'm not keen on first person shooters, like the Res Evil style of finding stuff and adding weapons with a bit of thought going on.

I could go backwards as ive not played previous REvil game but whats the best comparisons, Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid? Any others out there, ive lost touch with the gaming scene.

Resident Evil 4 is the 1st game for years that became like a religion, I was on it every night non stop until I completed it. You won't need another game for a while as when you finish it there are 3 more games unlocked and they are rock hard. Resident Evil 5 will be out this year but on PS3, not sure about PS2, Silent Hill is supposed to be quite similar if not as good but I haven't played it.

Slightly off topic but remember playing one of the RE games on my PS2 late one night, the dogs jumped through the window and scared the crap outta me

Silent Hill shit me up big time, well the first game did.
Ive played all the Res Evil games that came out on the PS1 and Res Evil was my favourite. But silent hill just takes you to another level of shitting yerself.

If your after a good scary game Ive played the Demo of Bioshock and it was a bit disturbing.

Think I had all the lights off and the volume right up at the time.

Those lights shot back on.
