Red blocks instead of pics

I'm using firefox and seem to be getting some pics replaced by red blocks while most others are fine. This has only happened since moving to a new PC with Vista. Any ideas why this is happening and what to do about it?

I get the same thing and i am still on windows xp, it happens from emails i receive or some sites that are visited.

E-mails - sure due to your Thunderbird security settings, but there is always an option to allow distant images

Firefox - I guess it's also down to security setting as some imgs are considered harmful or potentially harmful to your PC, I guess - I get the same stuff, but not very often - and I'm on XPs
