Default PS3 Help

I've recently acquired myself a pre-owned ps3 which is in mint condition

I have managed to get connected to the internet but this is only because the previous owner has left his log in details and password on there.
Now i dont really want to carry on using his details, so the silly question is how do i create my own details on there ?

Do i have to remove his email address and type my own in(dont want to try in case i cant get on the internet) sounds obvious but i cant see anywhere to be able to create a new one.

Could someone please confirm for me the correct procedure.

Thanks in Advance

Its something along the lines of System Settings then go down to Online setting. My question is how can you possibly be picking up his router connection at your place unless he lives next door to you .

I think we're confused between his internet connection and his playstation network profile.

You can create a new profile, also there are a number of other things you should/could do.

1/ go into the playstation store (under the previous owners id) and you can actually Download all the stuff the previous owner downloaded.

2/Deactivate the account on your PS3

3/i would ring sony and ask them to deactivate the account, incase the guy was game sharing and his profile is on 4 other machines.

You could also inform the person that their details were on the PS3 when you got it. silly man

If you dont want to download the guys stuff then i would factory reset the PS3 and start from scratch with an empty machine just like you bought it new

I managed to set up the connection to my wireless - so it lets me log in but using his details.

Stop confussing him M8

Its a NEW USER he wants to create, it has F@ck all to do with networks and WEP keys.

Follow my steps above to set up a new user, delete the other guys user and the PS3 will only have your profile, then go to the settings on the PSN and go to networks, then follow the intsructions to either set up a wired or wireless connection

good luck, its not that difficult M8, should take you all of 5mins.
