Problem on Boot Up - The Punters Lounge

Since today whenever I boot up my laptop I get a pop up asking me to restart the computer to install updates everytime. Despite clicking ok to do so it always comes back. Any idea's why? It's puzzled me! Run CC Cleaner, AVG Anti-Virus and Ad Aware to see if there's any shit on my system but it still pops up.

Any help / advice would be appreciated.

I would run Starter from here http://www.snapfiles.com/get/starter.html

And have a look at the Registry entries under the RUN key.

Nothing to be concerned about in that list.

Is it a Windows update message ? You could have a stalled update, easiest way to deal with that is to whack the pending updates key from your registry

Won't let me, says I havent permissions!

That one is the problem, after just doing a google search on it.

You might have to start up in safe mode to disable it .

Ok, its gone now after disabling the Adobe Updater, thats seems to of cured it. Thanks for all the help, intrigued how to get shot of that one you suggested Trilobite if you say its not required.

Safe mode or log-on as Admin should enable you to disable it .

Google it to see people reporting pop up messages from it at boot up.
