When watching a music video on youtube is it possible to record the sound only to my computer and how would i go about this(me being a thick cnut an all)

If you have Firefox then you can use this great bookmarklet that scans the web page you are on and then lets you download the actual .FLV file for the video. You can use a .FLV -> .MP3 converter of which there are a few around (some mentioned on the same link)
