| Hello, fellow punters! I'll try to be short and to-the-point, and even highlighted the text for you to read if you have less than 30 seconds to spend on here: One of the sites I'm an admin on (a sports forum) repeatedly gets spam posts of explicit porn images (advocating porn sites, naturally). I have been banning them and blocking their IP adresses, but someone new keeps coming back. My request is IF anyone knows where I can report a perpetrator, either by IP address or by the URL of the site they're advertising.. would you please PM me with the URL of such a service? I got to only one (used google search) and it's only for US residents. It does asy if you are not from the US you can choose that option from the drop down list, but there is NO such option within the said list! So, in sum.. I want to report the site(s) and the poster(s) of explicit porn on an open public (non age restricted) sports forum. Other types of spam I can handle.. I simply delete the post and ban the user... but explicit porn images really annoy me, as I KNOW I have "minors" frequenting the forum! Thank you all ![]()

| Moved to tech forum. I understand your concerns, but would ask who exactly you'd report them to ?? At best I think you could report them to the ISP's of the people making the posts. You can determine easily enough the owner of an ip address, it may violate their acceptable use policy, but all they'll do is open another account. 99% of this spam will come via a open proxy server, meaning you'll never see the true source of the posts. So in short, no there is nothing you can do, unless you put all new members with less than 20 posts into a moderated users group, where their posts are reviewed by a mod before they appear. |

| mh.. there´s an organisation called spamhouse.org I´m not sure if they can help you. They have a few filters and put millions of spamadresses in it.. What software do you use for your sportsforums?
