Not got my PS3 yet, still using my brothers when possible but ordered some games today and getting the console when I get paid:
Fifa08 - £24.99
Tiger Woods 08 -£24.99
Rainbow Six, Vegas - £17.99
Uncharted, Drakes Fortune -£32.99
Sega Rally - £17.99

Are the 60gb PS3's any better than the 40gb ones as there are not many 60gb ones available now or should I just get a 40gb one, they are £300 with a game or 2 from Gamestation.

60GB ones basicly have more USB Ports and play PS2 Games. Give us a shout when you get Tiger and Fifa and we'll have some games online

Just got my PS3 from Tesco. 40gb console with Spiderman3 Blu Ray and any game for £320 so I chose Call Of Duty 4. I don't normally like these army/combat/war type games but I haven't seen a bad review for it so i'll give it a go. My order has been despatched from Play.com so hoping to have other games tomorrow or Friday and likely to be online later tonight or tomorrow so i'll put my username up here when I have registered etc and we'll sort out some online gaming from PL for anyone that is interested.

Had a go at Call Of Duty 4 today, great game but i'm fcuking useless

Just borrowed my brothers Fifa online and had one of those games where you control one player and it was 5 online players V another 5, it was England V Spain and I was Gerrard, we lost on penalties.

Loving the PS3, only got a normal 32 in TV at moment but looking at getting LCD 1080p at the weekend. My online tag is mowgli77 so add me and i'll accept your request, let me know when you are online for a game of whatever, COD4 maybe but you will be more worried about me than the enemy.

Just downloading demo of NBA 2K8, what other demos are worth having, won't bother with Burnout demo as the game is out soon and i'll be getting it.

i suggest you all buy COD4 purely for the online play. the actual game is quite short but the online game is outstanding. i have 2 other games for my ps3 but they aint even made it out of their wrappers yet.... oh and i think the wife is gonna divorce me.

Download or buy Warhawk, its fecken superb, if you download from store its £20 but no headset, if you get in shop its dearer but you get headset.

GT HD is a good Download, The Club is a Good Download

Also if you want a game of Tiger give me a invite, Topnotchbloke has it aswell, we could have a round of Golf.

I have to share this it made me laugh.

I was playing COD 4 yesterday, and i was standing in a doorway, so i thought i'll throw a nade across the map c if i hit someone. so i press the button, move my sights up a wee bit for loft then throw, the nade hits the top of the door frame and goes backwards over my head, next thing its says i had killed someone. I had killed someone who was sneaking up on me. fecken priceless

Best one I ever did was somehow I managed to stick a bag of C4 on someones back as they ran past me, I was crouch behind a wall at the time I ran after them and just tried it for a laugh.
I managed to get it stuck to them then I just let him run down the road until I pressed the button--BOOOOOM I nearly died laughing

Had a quick go online of COD4 last night but got so fcuked off with it I turned it off and played Fifa instead. I was on team battle thing but just kept getting killed, even when I was facing someone and shooting at each other it was always me that got killed. Frustrating as fcuk and didn't know which guns to go with or anything.

depends what map your on Phil, I try to stick with the AK but use the red dot sight( after you've unlocked it) also perk's: get max damage.

I also use the carbine with the red dot sight

you just want a gun that does as much damage as you can. When you browse the guns just look at the stats for each gun

If ur struggling may i suggest

all the maps that look like towns, eg crossfire and district or ambush. use either an M16 or AK, but dont run about like a madman, take your time, peek round corners, the M16 is better for distance kills, same with AK if you get to close, u'll get killed by a better waepon. U could also try a light machine gun (think the SAW is the first one unlocked, its good at distance.

If your playing Vacant(warehouse) or Wet Work (boat) i would recommend the MP5 casue the game is fought at close quarters.

If its downpour you can use any of the above.

My two fav setups at the mo are

M60 with grip
Shotgun with grip

Perk 1 - NA cause i have grip
Perk2 - Overkill (lets me carry to weapons)
Perk 3 - Extreme conditioning


Second one is

Uzi
Shotgun with grip

Perks same above

But at mo am trying to do M14 challenges

But the shotguns are class, took me awhile to work out how to use them, but feck me, up close one shot kills, awesome. done both shotgun challenges so thats over 100 kills, and i kept them cause of close damage.

think of doing sniper rifle but am crap with them

this is great news. although i love the game you do get used to the maps so them bringing out new ones is superb as it keeps the game fresh.really looking forward to this.

A few people will know that back in the day 2003 - 2004 I actually was Number 3 Fifa Player in the UK on the PC.

Anyway I dont know how many of you have heard of the Sky TV Programme XLeague , but basicly if you really want to put your skills to the test then I urge you to sign up to the Website.

They hold Regular Tournaments for many games both on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and if you win the Tournament you get invited onto the Show to play Live.

It costs you about a Fiver to enter the Tournaments , but there is £500 Cash to the Tournament Winner and you get a chance to get on TV , so well worth having a go at in my opinion.

They are currently taking Registrations for the Spring Fifa PS3 Tournament, so get ya skates on if you fancy giving it a go and becoming a Famous TV Star

Its the lads B'day tomorrow but he got his pressie early due to going back to school tomorrow so at least it gives him the chance to play : Burnout Paradise.

top top game, graphics are the best Ive ever seen from the BO series.
I like the way its GTA orientated and you can drive around all day long but basically you pull up at the lights press R1+R2 and your ready to race.

Ive not had a great deal of time to play it but Ive had a couple of hours on it and ive managed to unlock a few cars.

the OST is brilliant, ranging from tracks from the first BO game to the last one, they have included all the best tunes which sound incredable via some good speakers.

If your a fan of the game series you will love this and if your a racing fan ( without the hassle of upgrades etc) then this is well worth the money.
Id give it 8.5/10
