Played Fight Night Round 3 last night on my brothers new PS3, fantastic, boxing fans will love it. I've got it on PS2 but these graphics are obviously much better. Same soundtrack as the PS2 version as far as I know and if you have played that one you will be familiar with the controls. I chose Ricky Hatton and fought Oscar De La Hoya, knocked him out in Round 6 after some uppercuts and hooks took their toll.
This game has the new In The Ring feature (not sure if it is also on X Box 360 version) where you view the game from the boxers eyes and can just see your arms outstretched as you throw your punches in bunches, wasn't too keen on it, prefer the normal view. You can still play a career mode and create your own world champion. The gameplay is fluent and it's well worth having in your collection. Will be even better playing against human opposition rather than just the computer but only had 1 pad last night.
9/10

Fifa 08 on PS3 is only £24.99 at Play.com. I nearly bought it at Asda last night and it was £44.00 so glad I waited. The Fifa and PES games are boith cheap on the PS2 aswell.

I've played it on X box 360 too and it was quality on that. Donna's friends fella had it and was kicking my ass till I figured the controls out on X box and knocked him out. Always helps when you know where the block button is.
As for X Box 360, my mate has got his chipped and is getting games for £5 each, saves bloody hundreds of pounds mate.

Just picked up 3 pre-owned games for PS3 for under £50.
Virtua Fighter 5 - £14.99
Motorstorm - £19.99
Virtua Tennis 3 - £14.99

Got them for my brother as Xmas presents with the underlying intention of claiming them back when I get my PS3, i'll have a spin on them tomorrow and put a short review up for each.

Just additional user then? Went with my brother to get his TV today - 37in LCD, Phillips, HD, 1080, Freeview etc. Didn't know you need a HDMI lead for the PS3, it looks good just through a SCART but need to get other lead now - how much are they?
Had a go on FIFA08 on the 37in screen, fcuk me it was like watching Match Of The Day.

pay as much as you can, I honestly believe you get for what u pay for regarding leads etc.
My Optical lead(for Dolby Digital) cost me £30, its the same with speaker wire they say to spend 10% of your total hardware price on leads and wires.

Question Re: Playstation 3 game reviews

Should we not have something similar for the wii or would it be better to merge?

Tiger Woods 2008 PS3 - Ive played the last 2 Titles on the PC and they have been brilliant but after a few days they get pretty easy where you end up shooting rounds of 15 Under.

However im glad to report that Tiger 2008 on the PS3 is much different , its so much harder than the PC version and I love it. The graphics are breathtaking, using the Analogue stick to swing your club really does give this a feel of realism and I can't stop playing it.

Plenty of Online Entertainment too , whether you want to just play in the Daily Online Tournament or go up against your mates.

Must have game if your into golf

Smackdown vs Raw 2008 - Now then , a few of my mates got this and to say i was a little bit shocked that grown men were playing a Kids game I soon learnt that this game really does rock the house.

The game is so funny that I don't think ive played one match where I haven't burst into hysterical laughter , whether it be smashing someone over the head with a Chair or flying off the top rope with my Elbow in their face.

What i really like about this game after playing it for a few days is that you can actually create your own Wrestling Superstar and really mess around with his appearance , to the fact that when me and my mates play online everyone just starts laughing when they see what new creation everyone has done.

Also the game has some great online Modes , Ladder , Cage , Parking Lot , etc etc ... don't be put off not trying this because you may think its for kids, I think all of us that have consoles are Big Kids at heart.

Another must game to get

Must admit I dolike the Tiger Woods golf game, Ive only got the demo for the 360 but I might just swing it (see pun) to get it for the PS3.
You can upload your pic and create your self as a player.

Im right into Assasins Creed at the mo, absolute mind blowing graphics very smooth gameplay, its a bit repetative but its very very good.
Its very similar to GTA where you have certain amount of objects to collect as you wander round the cities (Jerusalem looks stunning) on top of the main missions but to get to and from the cities you ride on horse back. Now this part of the game is my favourite, the way you control the horse is so realistic. Great game.
