Percentages in Excel... - The Punters Lounge

...Help required for a change

OK well its basic stuff but i cannot for the life of me get it too work, ive tried using basic mathematic formulas but i always get some foreign totals

I basically have a horses RUNS, WINS and PLACES in cells B3, C3 and D3, in cell E3 i want excel to calculate a winning % and in F3 i want a place %...

How on earth do I get it to work

win % formula (E3)
=C3/B3

places % formula (F3)
=D3/B3

highlight the columns E3 and F3. and go to format, cells, then click on percentage

hope that works mate.

no probs - just starting to delve intoi excel myself, so know its only simple when you know how to do it
