NT On access Scanner. - The Punters Lounge

Trying to install some software and i keep getting the message

"NT On access scanner has encountered a problem and needs to close "

Tried several lots of software and it comes up the same.
Thought it was the cd rom thingy but when i stick a dvd in it works ok.

Any help appreciated
