Ah good stuff, my request didn't fall on deaf ears then

So who else here has recently discovered the fun of Wii haha???

Got Mario & Sonic at the Olympics for Christmas which is superb fun in 2 player! Track events, swimming, fencing...all while throwing your arms around looking like a complete tit haha!

Mario Galaxy is also completely awesome and Lego Star Wars saga is the nostalgic nutz if you are a fan of the Wars. Playing through all 6 films in co-op mode. I forgot to mention that your wii-remote is the lightsabre

Also, if anybody likes weird and crazy stuff made by the Japanese get your hands on Warioware Smooth Moves. Never was a more rare game seen. So so random with 5 second mini games of increasing stupidity forming the backbone of play.

Cannot believe there is a thread for the Wii - THANK GOD - I got one for my 40th birthday and love it! I am currently hooked on Tiger Woods 08. It is simply brilliant unlike golf on the sports package on Tiger Woods you use your full swing. The course graphics excellent and the tournament lay out is superb. If you like golf I'm sure you will love Tiger Woods 08, it is frustrating enough to make you want to do better much like the real thing.

It will be interesting to see how Wii Fit takes off in the coming months when it is launched in the UK:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXRriHMlnH4

I can see a lot of games which will fit in well with this new 'controller'.

just ordered one for my lads 7th birthday in 10 days. got the console, extra remote, scart lead, memory card(512mb), nunchucks and 3 games as he is a mario nut: olympic games, galaxy, and party8.

whats the score with the nunchucks? hes been going on about these, but what games are they to be used with???

after reading the previous reviews looks like lego star wars is a must as well can you use the nunchucks in that? dont wanna ask him cos it will give the surprise away

I know these have been out for ages now, but i only played one for the first time a month or so back after hearing about all the hype. Gotta say i was hooked straight away and went out this week and bought one. They are brilliant!!

Anyway ive just been playing the standard sports games that come with it like Tennis, baseball, bowling etc, which is good fun.

Bought NBA Live 2008 last night and highly recommend that. Your in control of all the passing, shooting and blocking etc. You can even do jams!! Definately worth buying this game if your a basketball fan

Next game im going to buy is that G1 Jockey, will get that in the next few weeks. Used to play it on the Playstation and it was brilliant, so it will be even better when your the actual jockey.

the nunchucks are a extra controller for games that involve 2 hands .so with boxing on wii sports it gives you your left and right hand, with red steel it give you a gun in one hand and a sword in the other, the nunchuk also carries more controls for various games .

all in all its a brilliant control method and if the developers use their noggins i'm sure they can come up with some really great games

Just to add to this, you pretty much need the nunchuks for all but the most basic of games and most of wii sports. It's your directional controller basically.

So it seems there's a bit more to get me excited for the coming months.

Wii fit to get me into shape and then Force Unleashed for when I wish to take a breather

I preorded Mario Kart Wii the other day. It's out on April 11th and looks amazing!

The game takes advantage of the Wi-Fi connection so you can race 12 people from around the world. There are also leagues that are run using a Mario Kart channel that will also be out around the time the game is released.

If anyone else on here gets it, it would be fun to have a PL race once in a while.

Oh, and I forgot the important bit. The game comes with Nintendo's very own Wii Wheel. You hook the Wiimote to it and it acts as a steering wheel. There is already a few steering wheels already out there but this is the proper Nintendo version.

PRO EVOLUTION SOCCER WII

the Wii version really emphasises the 'evolution' part of the title, this is by far the best version i have played. The completly unique control system takes a few games to get used to especially if you play fifa but once you get the hang of it you can open the game up and really appreciate it. The whole concept of player runs trying to find the perfect through ball is simply pure genious. With this control system you can play "perfect football" no more of this tap A to pass to nearest teammate and have a crack from 30 yards out. Graphics are great for the Wii and the only downside is not having the licences for proper team names although it takes two minutes to do this manually. This game is a must have for all football fans especially if like me you were becoming sick and tired of the long ball games.

I got one last week (for my kid obviously) I am just in the process of wi-fi-ing up along with my NDS....Only played the Wii sports, Smooth Moves and Raving Rabids.........I have never really been a console fan and this is the 1st one I have owned since the Sega Master System.

A word of warning........ you dont need to swing too hard when playing baseball............ I have put me shoulder out trying to hit a home run

Recently got Mario & Sonic at the Oympics, Table Tennis and Pro Evolution 2008.

Trouble is I have also got the Wii online and downloaded some of the old games, like Super Mario World (1991, SNES). That game is immense, takes me right back into being a kid again

Played the olypmics for a bit, until I was nearly sick trying to break my 100M record. Another quality game for the wii. Table Tennis is quite good, just bloody hard to find any acurracy in your shots. Nearly done my shoulder with the smashs as well.

Not played pro evo yet, but looking forward to getting a chance to

After reading a few reviews on here I got a wii today, got the basic package with wii sports which is great fun but I also got Tiger Woods 08 which is absolutly brilliant.
The courses are amazing and the way that you use the controls for your swing is just like the real thing.
I have just started out in my career and am pretty crap so far finishing well over par which isnt a bad thing as the game will take some time to master. I love the way you can feel your heart beat through the controller when it is a pressure shot.
From what ive heard I thought this game would be good but it is even better than I expected it to be and I highly recommend it to anyone that has the slightest interest in golf.
