My laptop + Racing Post = :-( - The Punters Lounge

Any have any ideas why the Racing Post and my laptop dont get on?!

It is the ONLY website where i have any problems -it slows down massively almost to the point of crashing and at best, it is extremely laggy.

Is there anything I can do to rectify this as it's really doing my head in as I use it quite a bit. Tried Sportinglife etc but its not a patch on the RP.

i find i get variations with the site - it can really slow down the other web browsers. seems to be moreso in firefox.

Strange its only that website mate - maybe something to do with a firewall or pop up locker? I'm just guessing by the way....

Personally I'd download Firefox from here

http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox/

Then adblock (If someone of you use firefox without this then your crazy...It blocks all those crappy adverts !)

http://adblockplus.org/en/installation

Once you've installed adblock restart firefox then install

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1136

Which is an update list to continually keeping adblock up to date

Then give that a shot and loaded punterslounge up in firefox and see if it's any better

That is awesome! I cannot believe just how fast all the pages load up now and just how fast the RP site is! Amazing.

I know i'm a numpty but thanks very much - improved my life 10x!

P.s. cant get the adblocker to install though. its and .xpi file and it's saying it is an unknown file!

Gives some good tips on getting more from firefox.
