Hey guys/gals...

...looking at 3 phones...N95/Viewty/890i...

...can't really decide between the 3.

Main "problem" is this...N95 is WiFi, so can effectively be used as a modem for a laptop...can the others be used the same way with a usb cord??

Thanks...although I also read that the 890i has poor reception, and given I cuurently live in a hole...

Appreciate any words of wisdom.

Out of the 3 there, you cannot beat the N95

But get an Iphone instead cos there bloody great

Thanks, morlspin...Iphone not here in Oz just yet...

...everything I've read puts the Viewty above it anyway...

Would prefer a phone "phone"...not necessarily a camera, but yeah...www connection is a cconsideration for sure.

Have heard the N95 crashes a lot...

The old versions of the N95 crashed all the time, but the new symbian software updates have sorted that out, very few probs with the newer models.

The Viewty is a camera with a phone attached.....simple
The Iphone is an 8/16gb ipod, a camera and a phone, with wifi and soon to have 3g connectability

The N95 is quite big so bear that in mind too.

The N95 is the best phone I've owned. The video quality is the best I've ever seen in a mobile phone.

I recommend it.

Size was the thing steering me in the 890i direction...but I think I've wiped the Viewty off now.

I can get a better deal with the N95, so that just could be the factor!

Hi TazaD - Just to give my two cents worth.

I currently have an LG Viewty, and it isn't WiFi and as far as I'm aware it can't be used as such any other way (I could be wrong about this though)

As for the phone itself, I really like it apart from one or two niggles with the software.

The camera is decent enough, although like everything you need to tweak a few of the settings first, and in all honesty it's not that great in dark light conditions.

The interface is intuitive and easy to use, although not that interesting.
However there are several people who have created some excellent themes to add to the phone.

The touch screen works fantastic and although I didn't expect it, texting is actually quicker for me using this method (I'd imagine it would be even quicker using the QWERTY keyboard, but my fat fingers don't allow this!

)

The applications on the phone (things like video editor etc) are excellent and are really in depth.

Overall I would definitely recommend this phone over the K890, but I cant speak for the N95 as I've never used one.

Definitely Nokia N95 is the best phone ever made.
