how do you know which one to download ?
tried to download of three of the links
and got VIRUS ALERT
are these safe links ?
downloaded winzip as suggested by Kotp
but haven't had chance to try it yet
because of the virus alerts.
some worm thingy
didn't go any further
deleted the part download.
how do you know if they are safe ?
and do i need winrar installed ?
and if i do is there any sites where this is free

Hi ralphie, what files have you downloaded, is there a PAR file in the folder if so use a program called quick par to check and repair the downloaded file..

Ralphie sort by SOURCE order.
Click the source tab as the list loads up usually the most common files are genuine.
Also any files you wanna check just Right click the file and goto BITZ TICKET which opens a web page with comments on from past user's telling you if the file is shite or good.

WINZIP and WINRAR are very easy to get off the internet as a free Download.
You dont really need Bearshare to get these programmes.

I used www.download.com for a while and found no problems

especially the BITZ TICKET
its a reassurance that they are safe
I did get WINZIP and WINRAR ok

but from what i have seen
most of the SYSTEM MECHANIC files
on there have VIRUS'S
AVAST has never been so busy

what do people get out of putting shit on there ?

I have tried other programs but haven't succeeded in making
any of em run.

In the end i uninstalled the lot

Ralphie if its System Mech that you want I have the PRO version number 6 with KEY CODE if you want it.

Just done a search of the forums and found this so am bumping it to the top

Does anyone know where i can steal a copy of system mechanic? Im having some slow-down issues and think my 'puter needs a good clean up, ive tried a few torrent sites but it seems the only ones i find all have comments on them saying they are virused
