I Want to Surf! : Access Denied Error - The Punters Lounge

Hi people.

I have been connected to the internet via a router and ethernet connection to my pc, using Windows 2000. I have recently bought a laptop which I need to connect to the net and thought I could just plug in my ethernet cable to my laptop and hey presto i would be connected to the net. But No!

It seems I can recieve/send emails and stuff on my laptop, but when I want to open Internet Explorer (version 6) I get this error:

FORBIDDEN
You were denied access because:
Access denied by access control list.

WTF?????!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone out there know what the problem is? Mike help me out mate! My laptop uses Windows XP. (Why is nothing involving computers straight forward!)

Try putting that error message in google and see what you get, there's a few cases of it, try looking at things like...
