I downloaded all the Fawlty Towers episodes, with the intention of putting them all on a DVD, yet despite the fact that they should all fit, it will only let me put 3 episodes on one DVD. The info on the files : Fawlty Towers - Xvid - 1 of 12.avi 180 MB etc. all the files (12 of them) add up to less than 2.5gb, yet it wont let me Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

Thanks Komp, it seems it uses the true size if i go to dvd and make data disc, and will fit them all on . Yet it wont do it if i add the files to make dvd video, it makes the files about 6 times bigger . Why does it do this ? Im using NERO btw. Thanks

It's probably trying to convert the files to mpeg Blue. YOu do have a divx compatable player to play the avis on? If not then youd only be able to watch it on the computer as avi or you'll have to convert to avi's to mpeg (mpeg1 for space) and then convert the mpegs to VOBs (i use tmpgencDVD Author) so as you can play the DVD in any player.

I dont know for why Blue. Funny enough i'm sitting watching Fawlty Towers as we speak all done in the same method as yourself Bucko. My episodes were from suprnova and their playing great if not vhs quality. My divx player a Skyworth. I cant think for why yours are psydelic unless youve been on the mushrooms Blue. You got up to date firmware for your player?

It might be it needs a firmware update, but as mentioned on the thread in the link, it takes away its multi region function, so i'd rather not update it. http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/forums...&Page=1&Type=1

Figured it out but . They are xvid and the medion doesn't play xvid only Divx. The firmware update will allow it to, but then i lose the multi region function. Going to get myself a Yamada i think.

Found a cracking program to convert Xvids/divX to DVD VSO converter, it's free: http://www.download.com/3000-7970_4-10341695.html Only takes around 2 hours to convert and every one I have done so far is perfect! I use TMpeng DVD Author to burn the folder the above program spits out.
