| Hi guys, I seem to be having trouble with my audio. I mean i can play mp3's and all the sounds work in games etc, but when i listen to live stream stuff online it just doesnt work. For example my girlfriend is trying to watch big brother live stream at this link and theres no audio. Also when i go to the afl website to listen to the matches, as they have radio station links to all matches, its the same story. Anyone know what the issue could be here? |

| Have you got messenger running?? I had a similar issue. I was able to hear system sounds and software sounds, but any stream I wasn't able to hear, however this would only happen after I received an error message (pop-up) not long after start up, so I'm not sure it's the same problem. My problem (after about three days and twenty or thirty different tries) was that a start-up programme was interfering with my settings (the programme was to do with messenger). The start-up programme was called : msmsgs, and once I disabled it, the audio was fine. To do this : Hit the start button (bottom left hand corner) Then Run. A text box appears - and type "msconfig" A box appears, and hit the startup tab. Now uncheck the box called "msmsgs", then apply it. It worked for me - but you may have a completely different problem. If that is the problem, you might find you will have to start messenger manually. If it is the problem, and the audio works, but next time you start up it fails again - let me know. |

| Could be a number of things - check that 'Play sounds in web pages' is enabled. In IE - Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, then scroll down to Multimedia and ensure the box is ticked for this option. It could be an audio codec problem - try downloading this and install it http://filehippo.com/download_codec_pack/ Hope this helps! Steve.
