GTA IV thread for those who have completed it (major spoiler)

I wish i hadn't made the decision at the end i did. I actually felt sad about it. I decided to cut a deal with Vlad, and you know the rest. I only made one save point, so i'd have to start from scratch to do an alternative ending.


So i'm at 70%. It appears that there is no point going on. Theres a kinda sad feeling to the game. Kate dosen't answer the phone, and everyone else goes on as normal.(even though she says call when u want)

I really want to do more missions. I feel as if there could me more in the game, and an im provment the way it pans out.

I don't see the point in races or shooting pigeons. And lets be honest, there is very little use for money.

I really enjoyed the characters. The driving is good no matter what anyone says.



Whens the add on for the 360 out ? I feel as if i need to put some things right.

Nothing specific - rumours are bigger than San Andreas and completely new city

Those rumours are alot of rubbish. It's an add on, so it will probably be GTA 4 with new missions. Infact it might only be a couple of the citys out of the map.

Don't get your hopes up.

San Andreas and Vice City were add ons to GTA III. Why wont these add ons be to GTA IV what SA and VC were to GTAIII?

I think I read that GTA IV cost $100m to produce. Microsoft have paid $50m for added content that uses the existing GTA IV engine. I'm expecting it to be hefty and substantial.

I looked for some info. You could be right, they're keeping things tight though. I was kinda hoping it would be GTA 4 with new missions, as i feel there's unfinished business in that game.

I very much doubt it will be on a SA scale. First of all the charcter would be far too different, which would be too much of a change so soon after GTA 4. If it was on that kinda scale, we wouldn't be seeing the game for some time, which may well be the case.


We will get hit with the usual excuses and a pushed back release date. I wouldn't be suprised if we're still waiting this time next year.

There's also another question. Surely if it's a bigg game then it wouldn't just be exclusive to the 360 ?


I've heard it could possibly just be random mission as opposed to a storyline. That would be very dissapointing.

I presume the expansion has been worked on for a while now - as development teams have finished their parts in GTA IV I would imagine they started work on the expansions - so the development time is not as if they were starting from scratch the day GTA IV was released. Having said that - Vice city (Oct 2002) was released 12 months after GTA III (Oct 2001) and San Andreas was 3 years later (Oct 2004)

I think your final point is a good one. GTA IV sold $400m worldwide in the first week? If that is the case, then $50m would be nowhere near enough to make something of that scale platform exclusive....

I think they will be bankin on people buying a console in order to play the new games. As for the time, i know they would have been working on it for some time, but i'm think that they will still be adding touches after reading users opinions on GTA 4 etc. Aswell as that they will want to give people a long time to play GTA IV. I hope i'm wrong but i don't think we will see anything new for another year or more.

i'd like to see more customisation options, harder missions and a more in depth dialogue with characters because some dissapear too quickly. I mean look at kate McReary, i wouldn't have cared that much if she got popped because i hardly spoke to the bitch. Roman on the other hand is another matter, i hated it when he got blasted. It's made me feel empty as far as the game goes.

Take alook on some of the file sharing sites, I know that PS3 people are sharing the game save at the point were you choose. Again not sure about Xbox.

love the motorbike jump onto the helicopter then had the last guy against the wall, pulled out the shotgun and cya later.

So then i started to get the cars for Brucie and Stevie, done the jobs for the Rasta, doen the fixer and even done some Cop missions, but its all alittle :z zz
