Workers nationwide will walk out of delivery offices early on Tuesday in protest over a below inflation pay rise. A Royal Mail spokesman said the action meant no deliveries would be made on Monday and Tuesday nationwide. He apologised and said the company was doing everything it could to resolve the situation. The Postal Unions' spokesman said that due to the scrapping of the 10p income tax rate and the below inflation rate pay rise,they had no option but to strike. The Royal Mail spokesman said: "This strike is going to affect many people and will cause concern and inconvenience to customers and damage our business," he said. More to follow later...

Due to the large quantity of pre-orders for GTA IV we're now beginning the processing and packing stage.

Please note that no copies will be dispatched today, they will be shipped on Monday as originally planned, processing them now just ensures that we're able to get everything prepared and ready for then.

Had another email from HMV today (they have a bad reputation for online orders of games - looks like they've gone into overdrive with this to try and repair it!!

They confirmed that it was dispatched yesterday, and gave me a Royal Mail Tracking Number - Royal Mail doesn't recognise it specifically yet, but it does seem to identify it as "Next Day Gtd by 9am Special Delivery" Price for this service (at retail) starts at over £10 - HMV cannot be making much on GTA (they're giving away 1000 XBox live points too)

Didn't arrive today - think it's unlikely to arrive tomorrow (Saturday) but there must be a darn good chance I'll have it Monday

For those of you that simply can't wait and have a dual layer dvd writer , there are a few torrents kicking about from fairly reputable (amongst pirates, if you know what I mean) sources with ISO images of the Xbox 360 version of the game. It's a 7Gb download, but that's not exactly hughe these days if you have a decent connection. I have an ADSL2 line with 8mb both directions, I could DL this in a day.

Not doing it myself, no PS3 versions up there yet, and I don't have a Blue-ray writer yet anyway.

For real? It's as simple as a straight DL copy?
Can you just copy originals too? (I'm pretty fecked off cos I've scratched my PGR4 and now it keeps crashing making it all but unplayable!!!!)

You need some third party software, remember the Xbox 360 is basically a reboxed PC. not sure of the exact details, but the ammount of Xbox 360 releases on mininova shows it can't be all that hard.

I guess bandwidth is the thing holding this back, some downloads are over 25gb.

I've did a bit of research, you need to do a firmware update to your dvd drive, it stops seeing DVD-R disks as anything different, it makes the drives report everything as orginal, after that DL and burn

There's some gameplay vids on gamespot - it's not looking that great at all to me As said before it's really hard to see how it can come anywhere near expectations now....
