| Re: Gta Iv - 29th April 2008 More Info  Run For It If you're on foot the cops won't actually start shooting unless you've done something pretty bad: although they will stop and threaten you. If they catch up to you then Nico will automatically put his hands in the air - you've then got a split second window to press the sprint button and do a runner, although if you do that they will open fire straight away! Fleeing The Scene Niko can lose health when your car takes a pounding but unlike in previous games, they will not explode after being flipped onto its roof. Niko can now also throw grenedes out of the car window. The Chase is on! When you get a wanted level - depending on how serious it is - a circle will appear on the radar showing the area the cops are in. To lose them you must get out of the circle. But you've also got to bear in mind, if other cops are patrolling, running into them will recentre the circle onto you. Hide Here Press R1 and nico will snap to any cover he's near, just like in Gears of war. He can aim while he's still in cover and then pop out to shoot - or blindfire over the top. Point the camera at another bit of cover and Nico will either run and slide or forwards roll into another parked car. Niko can now also jump and cling onto ledges. he can also shimmy along them sideways to access new areas. Holding L1 locks onto enemies - then you can push up or down on the right analouge stick to go for a head, hand,knee or groin shot. Behind The Wheel Parked cars take slightly longer to steal. Nico will have to smash the window with his elbow and then hotwire the motor, not a good idea when cops are chasing you! If you drive head on into a wall at top speed Nico will go through the windshield and lose health. Too Much Detail
Here' more info! Some of the Characters you may already know. Some new Character info: Patrick Mcgreary A crazy irish hoodlum, who lives with is mum and sister but doesn't seem to like them much. He warns Niko away from his 'frigid' sister, but she seems to fancy Niko. Playboy X A player with a penthouse apartment, a humvee-style car and a taste for the luxuries in life. Dwanye Playboy X's associate - quieter, more serious and fresh out of jail! Vlad Likes to think of himself as a much feared criminal, but he's actually reasoably harmless. Spotted shouting at Niko in the trailer. Manny A former gangster who's turned his life around, now making his documentary about his struggle. Roman Niko's cousin, who's lured our hero to the states with the promise of mansions and girls. He actaully runs a small cab company. He's in deep with the mob. Brucie A steriod-fried lunatic who talks fast, shouts loud and throws jabs in mid conversation! Once he's calm he's good for work. Elizabeta A veteran drug delar from the bohan street , She's friends with Manny. Bell This is ray's sidekick. He and Ray communicate in Sicilian code full of badda-bings and talks about 'things. Ace. Little Jacob A Jamican drug Dealer who speaks in super heavy dialect. If you befriend him you can end up with a trunkful of guns when you call him. One of the most impresive things about GTA IV is the new physics, there is persistant dmage. Walls take damage and keep it during gun fights. blood splatters also stick around after you've sniped people. IMPORTANT INFO!!!!!!! How big is the City? Big. A speedboat journey around half of Algonquin - one of the cities five districts - lasted about five real time minutes!! Is the Entire city instantly accessible? No. Its just like the earlier GTA's, there are closed bridges. One of the bridges is closed because of a terrorist threat! Can I fly a plane around? No. The game only features an airport and you'll constantly see passenger jets flying over the city. Do I need to save at the Safe house? No. After the mission is over it automatically saves the game. Can i go to the Gym? No. There is no pumping iron in the game. nico wil lkeep fit from sprinting and punching. Can i go Swimming? Yes but only on the surface, the boats are also harder to flip over. You cannot go underwater anymore. Can i buy new clothes? Yes. So far we have seen Niko in tracksuits, fancy shirts, suits and even a classy pair of fingerless gloves.

Right so we know that you can put your elbow through the window to shoot ahead, but you can also drop grenades aswell! :Pressing x(360) will make Niko jump and cling on to ledges. He can also shimmy them sideways to access new areas :Niko can push pedestrians out of the way with B, like in Assassin's Creed :There's a new dashboard view :Some streets are named after strange celebrities-Jim Jones street and Hubbard avenue :Characters will communicate via headset in certain missions :Niko's health is shown in a semi-circle around the radar, you can complete it by getting yourself bulletproof armour :You can see characters breath when it's cold :The Mafia, the Triads, the Jamaicans and the Irish are some of the factions :Some pedestrians will pee up walls (anyone remember that infamous GTA3 cheat?) :One of the radio stations advertises a cartoon called "My Drunk Uncle" :There are missions where you'll be encouraged to kneecap your enemies :Street lights flicker :Cluckin' Bell has outlets across Liberty City :Shoot a tyre and you hear the air escaping :You wear a helmet while riding a motorbike(i know we all know that but), and throw it down when you get off :You pay tolls on the bridges :Moths fly around street lamps :Some pimped-out cars have spinners :The radio reports on missions you've just done :Niko's feet land on every step when you go up stairs :Run someone over and you'll get blood on the bumpers and windscreen  rivers will duck under there dashboards and try to drive away if there caught in a gunfight:In minor collisions, pedestrians can put a hand out to steady themselves against cars :You can see passengers in the backs of cars :Some billboards shuffle electronically between different adverts :You can see cockroaches scuttling along the floor in some of the dodgier houses :Shoot people and the blood splatters, be shot and it also splatters often on to the camera :You can see car exhaust flames :Bodies float off in the water rive on a flat and the tyre will shred off showering sparks:Trucks will spill barrells as they swerve across the road :You can shoot the chains holding logs together on flatbed trucks to spill them across the road :Vans belonging to the same company will honk to acknowledge each other when they pass :Apart from picking up fist-aid kits and buying food there's apparently "one other way" to earn health, maybe befriend a docter... :The melee combats been tweaked (well duh!) while your holding down RT with fists selected, A, Y and B do different attacks including a devastating kick to the chutneys!use X for blocking Thats all for now and i havent read the whole thing, it's an 8 page hands-on, hope some of that info is new for you guys, most of it is for me, i'll update if i see anything else. | Re: Gta Iv - 29th April 2008 Title will feature multiplayer elements for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Following earlier reports based on comments made by Microsoft's Don Mattrick that Grand Theft Auto IV would feature "multiplayer support" that was "unique to 360", developer Rockstar Games has confirmed that both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 editions of the game will feature multiplayer content.*(oooooo rubs hands) "It's always something we've been open about, both versions will support online multiplayer capabilities," a Rockstar spokesperson told GamesIndustry.biz, although exact details on those capabilities have not been announced as yet. Precisely what Mattrick meant by his comments is now unclear, although one possibility is that he may have instead been referring to the Xbox Live experience as "unique", rather than alluding to specific exclusivity of the title. Grand Theft Auto IV is scheduled for release on both platforms on April 29.

Will be like World Of Warcraft were u build up a character, take over territory etc etc, which is unfair and could put new people off, unless they split the maps up and you have to be a certain level to enter a certain map. Or would it be one off fights in sections of the maps BUT ONLINE FECK YA
