To find out which shops you can enter, do you just try walking in to every one? Just I'm sure at around 15% or so completed that there must be more shops than just the clothes shop. I know that there is one shop unlocked after chasing someone, won't say more and there is another kinda businessy shop unlocked by a new character where you can find new missions but there must be other shops?

Also I'm not sure over this 'can I pick it up?' thing.. some things like cups and ketchup and fags you can but stuff like pieces of wood you can't when surely these could make a good temporary weapon.

Find shooting and driving hard at the moment but I guess that will become easier, much like how driving appears to be getting easier with the right cars.

Never even seen an ATM yet but will have to go on the hunt for one now! Also only realised earlier today that you need to go see one of your contacts usually to be assigned new missions. I presume this allows for different gaming paths, depending on who you visit and most likely unlocks different aspects of the game, making everyone's game slightly different at least from other players. Oh and I didnt think there was any planes in this game but I saw one go over head earlier! So is it just that you can't fly them yourself?

Another little annoyance is no clock on the screen for time of day (it seems to be night time far more than day time )

i've heard the 360 version is a bit glitchy and has slow down, my mate has had problems with his 360, saying it wouldn't read the disc, he was so annoyed he went and traded it all in for a PS3 with gta4.

I don't really find much slow down, sure there is a bit but every game has flaws and it's not really so noticeable most of the time. The only time that I find the slowdown a problem has been when I'm in missions where I need to kill someone or a group of people and suddenly I'm being shot at but can't change from fist to one of the guns!

I've just played my first online game with Cops v Crooks and was suprised at how well the game flowed. Naturally I picked up a win from my first game, although that was largely due to the efforts of the other team members. You can pick up weapons in the street and first aid packs but each of the time when I had a chance to kill someone, I was only armed with my pistol so one of my team mates did the killing instead. I was only killed once in the game which was when I was run over quite spectacularly!!

But i can't get into the game so far. It's amazing in so many ways but the missions really don't inspire me. I spend 20mins messing about then go for a mission - spend 5mins driving about, kill a couple of people. Job done. Then i turn the console off. The fact that the xbox fan is louder then the volume on my shitty TV doesn't help (need to invest!) so i don't get what's going on at all plus ofc. the missions are dull as dishwater means i'm in limbo atm.

It is an amazing game, but it's got to get a lot better than driving around, picking up a couple of cars and killing a couple of people, and quickly, or else it's a big fail.

I'm off to buy this tomorrow on PS3, thinking about trading some games in but then when I saw cost of them 2nd hand don't know if to bother. Was going to take Drakes Fortune back but it's £20 now 2nd hand which means i'll get about £10 for it if that. Never finished the last GTA, played it non stop and then got bored of it and didn't bother again.

Had my first lockup today, driving accross one of the bridges at speed and the game just locked.

Also had a problem when loading a save game, went to the loading screen and wouldn't go any further, I was stuck, couldn't start the game. Had to delete the file and lose 3 hours worth of play.Not a happy bunny. A browse on the web shows these problems are fairly common.

Does anyone know where the hookers are ? I've not banged one yet and think I should

At night time there are some hookers by the side of the main bridge between the first two Islands. I'm sure there are a lot by the side of most of the roads too. So just drive by them, stop and then usually they will come and offer you their services, seems kinda pointless though.

I like some of the missions that leave you having shootouts with about 10 to 15 people. Most of the time though I prefer getting myself in trouble with the police and then just driving around to avoid them, shooting at them all the time too and trying to get my wanted stars up as high as possible. Quite often doing that I'll end up killing myself but I think it's good fun!

Are you playing on a standard, non HDTV? Might be worth getting the cable so you can pipe it through your PC monitor
