| Having spent a bit of time with this I'm not so sure. it actually feels a little bit jerky at times. Apparently the PS3 version plays better than the Xbox, as it installs to the hard disk whereas the Xbox doesn't. I've heard the draw refrash is quote noticeable on the Xbox. I'm only just getting into it, I'm trying really hard to take my time and not rush anything. Watching all the cut scenes in full, just getting used to the feel of it. i'll put in a few hours tonight and see how I feel then. i've bought the censored aussie version with a 7 days money back deal on it, I have an uncensored version enroute from Hong kong for $40 cheaper. When it arrives, i'll swop over. |

| Having searched the internet to secure a copy on release day I failed to beat the rush. However went onto Argos this morning and reserved a copy for store pick-up!! I shall go to the Ball after all

| I've put a few hours into this, I was kinda disapointed at one point, the graphics are a bit rough in some places. There's no getting away from that, objects aren't that well defined, some straight objects like table edges have a bit of flicker on them. But I'm starting to come good with it now, the game play is good. It's GTA once you get into the zone, it's great. I'm now 3.49% complete, haven't done all that much in mission terms, hung out with cousin Roman, dug him out of the shit a few times (he's pretty stupid), I'm dating a fly hunny called Michelle. Not banged her yet, but got a bit smochey. The car handling takes a bit of getting used to, driving pissed is hard. Got an open mind at this point |

| Lol ... hear a bang at the door so fly downstairs in hope of GTAIV, as i approach the door i hear the noise of a van waiting outside so i go to check through the window if its the courier - only to see the dude quick as a flash getting in his van i run to the door open it up and he's driving away ![]() Much to the humour of my postman who's stood there and must have seen the gutted look on my face as he shoves a bit of paper in my face and says 'sign here' then says 'oh and tell Tom (me) he's just missed his book' - in reference to the van driving off - before handing me a package ![]() It was GTA and i do have a humorous postman !. |

| I really like the GPS functionality, I wasn't looking forward to having to learn my way around the vast city. It's so good, makes getting to destination so easy |

| Playing for just over 30mins now and think it's amazing . Graphics are a million times better then they look in the adverts. Just been beat up by a few hobos - seems easy to pic fights and the car jacking is so funny sometimes and there's been a lot of funny dialogue so far as well. Driving is a bit loose so keep smashing into everything but the cars look awesome. Bit hard to find the mission markers but the GPS is a great thing. So first impressions - superb. |

| Right played for about 40mins and did 4 missions (mostly just driving people around) heres my verdict so far. Nice graphics, a few rough areas here and there but nice, the city looks fecken amazing and the way the sunlight come through is beautiful. Driving will take abit of getting used to. I like the GPS system, if u miss a turn it takes a wee mo then finds a new route. Other things like Nico actual leans over to turn over the radio is pretty cool. My only problem is its seems very slow, not like SA were everything seemed to be abit faster, seems abit pedesterian to me, but I'll get used to it. So far am liking it, but the graphics have done this game well, there not as good as other games but still its GTA next Gen. Ohh yeah the download to HDD lasts about 10 mins and there is still a small wait between missions. Ohh yeah the phone is a cool idea, i like the idea of choosing to answer or not, and texting aswell, you can also get new ringtones stuff.

| I'm about an hour in so far , just letting Sophie have an hour of cbeebies then she can fook off for the rest of the day ![]() ![]() Graphics are excellent, game play is fairly smooth and only a small wait between missions ![]() Not to much of a fan of the driving at the moment, think the vehicles over respond to much. The handbreak turns are far to much tbh. Likewise, I've helped Roman out a few times, Victor a couple of times and now just moved onto some black dude (cant remember his name) Also dating Michelle and we have been out on 2 dates, for a burger and to bowling (which the bitch won )Have been wanted 3 or 4 times by the feds, even got up to 4 stars when I had jacked a motorcycle and drove into the airport, crashed and died after escaping the airport perimiter was was ran off the road by the feds SWAT van ![]() ![]() . The other times I have only been wanted by 2 stars and have escaped every time ![]() Its typical GTA and its going to cost me many hours of my life . Love it already ![]() Not tried online yet, Will have a abreak tonight for a little poker and the footie and then crack on for a lengthy session and will prob try online then ![]() |

| Picking fights appears to to be the worst thing so far from my experience. You fight and it's so jerky and held back that it feels like a slow motion tekken fight, button bashing away and just hoping that it's their guy that lays on the floor at the end of the fight. The driving is pretty haphazard, like as has been said the SatNav style system works well but the braking is inconsistent and I think it guesses which obstacles you will clip as sometimes it seems I'm closer and don't hit than others when I do. I'm not sure about the bowling, I still have no idea how to do it! I thought you moved Nico to the spot, then pressed down and up on the right analogue stick and moved direction to the way you wanted ball to move but it doesn't always happen like that. This GTA is the first that I've played in a LONG time, so maybe it's just trying to get back in to the game. I do think that I will enjoy the game longer term and the graphics while not wow, are enough to keep up with the motion of the game. I thought I was quite lucky being able to buy a copy of the game from HMV in town. I was kinda worried that they would be all sold out but thankfully not! |

| holy feck this just gets better and better, I ve played for 3 hours and wee bit online. Anyone had a drink yet (in the game) if not do it, also if you hit a barrier very fast nico flies out the front window. excellent game, good story. as mentioned the cars and driving is abit bad, cars handle like they are on springs and are hard to control. i have got used to fighting and its not just button mashing. also the camera angles can be hit and miss. but FECK ME THIS GAME IS CLASS ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

| Yep it is getting better and better. The small things are what makes games great, just things like when you run over a lampost i noticed the electric sparks coming from the ground where the pole was and i noticed a random symbol on my radar so went there - it turned out to be a fella who wanted to give me $100 for nothing . Scenery is immense and the characters are brilliant, every person in the city seems to be alive rather then past games where they're very robotic. And i've barely played it yet (doing a damn essay ). |

| Has anyone else been randomly arrested for no apparent reason? I was on foot, so walked down this dark bridge, there was a police blockade but I thought nothing of it... suddenly, next thing I know is that I'm being gunned down! ![]() I want to know how to make money quick and how to get weapons! All the challenges I am doing so far is chasing other cars! Oh and I did have a drink in the game and it was funny trying to drive! Weirdly too it gives it the perspective that it appears you could drive easy enough but the car moves like a bloody shopping trolley! Soon enough you get surrounded by the cops and have to either try drink driving out of there, which I did, shortly after leaving Roman behind to deal with the crap himself... hell, he's the one with the spade who dug his hole, he's the only who's going to be filled in it with the bullets! Another feature I like is how you can choose your location on the map and if you aren't going there for a mission, there will be a green line representing the journey that you should take. I think this is a good feature as before that I couldn't get to any of the gaming elements. Pool and darts seem to be a waste of time as they are as easy as sin! Pool it more or less lines the shot up for you, before you get to the black. For the darts, it's just slow motion choosing a trigger hair and going for it! Oh and think I'm around 10% through at the moment... not that great but stuck on one of the driving missions as my car just wont' do what I want it to do! ![]() |

And you pay just a fraction more to get straight to your location! So no driving around, getting hit by cars pulling out on you or driving randomly in to trees! Only prob is you can't get these taxi drivers to chase 'the car in front' ![]() | |

| Have to confess I'm a bit disappointed so far I've only racked up about 90 minutes, so hopefully I'll get into it later :unusreGTA is a game that thrives on successfully combining genres mor than anything.... The driving, well that's significantly worse than Burnout Paradise The fighting, that's significantly worse than COD4 (though I havent got beyond a fist fight yet) The movement I find as poor and bizarre as older games (e.g. solid objects going through solid objects) The cut scenes seem to drag on and on without being particularly interesting - they're not exactly approaching film quality and the storyline seems slow and not particularly interesting There is far too much text (without voiveovers) that needs to be read on screen... In contrast to what AJ said, I am finding it extremely linear at the moment Nothing has been challenging yet - it's not been much more complicated than, go to the spot marked "X" - congratulations you have completed this mission ![]() The map doesn't look like it's going to be very big - once I've unlocked it that is!! Anyway - hopefully I'll still fall in love with it ![]() Djilion - the Bridge is closed because of a terrorist threat, which means you cannot cross it (i.e. they want to keep you away from that part of the map) - you will not be able to cross it till you've unlocked it.... |
