Default Fifa V Pes

Ok its FIFA V PES time again

PES has now got Champ league licence and also Liverpool and Man Utd licence.

Fifa demo is on PS3 and Xbox today so check it out.

Seen a review for FIFA and they give it a 9/10

Konami has secured the exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League for Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 and has agreed terms with Liverpool and Manchester United to include licensed versions of each team in the game.

The Champions League licence means that the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC versions due out on 17th October will include "all elements and attributes of the competition".

PES 2009 not only features Liverpool, but is the Official Football Videogame of Liverpool FC, and Konami is even producing a specially-packaged version for exclusive use by the club.
"Liverpool FC fans can look forward to the most realistic video game recreation of their team, with the likes of Torres, Gerrard and Carragher recreated with an incredible level of detail," said Konami's Jon Murphy.

PES 2009 promises more detailed likenesses and special animations to match in-game players to their real-life counterparts, and Konami says that will be particularly evident with the licensed Man United team, for which Tevez, Ferdinand, Ronaldo and van der Sar will all have their own graphical sequences.

Both clubs' official kits, crests and other details will also be replicated.
To see how it's all going to look, check out our Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 galleries for Champions League football and Liverpool and Manchester United teams.

PES 2009 is due out on PS3, 360 and PC on 17th October with a Wii version to follow in spring 2009

EA has released a PC demo of FIFA 09 ahead of today's release of the Xbox 360 and PS3 demos.

The PC demo has six playable teams - Marseille, Schalke, Real Madrid, Chelsea, AC Milan and Toronto FC - and is a 1GB download from the likes of FileFront.

The PS3 and 360 demos will offer the same line-up of teams but will feature different stadiums (the FIWC Stadium for PS3, New Wembley for 360).

Expect the usual four-minute match taster showcasing things like the custom tactics feature we wrote about in our recent FIFA 09 hands-on preview.

And don't forget that the full game will include EA's new subscription-based Adidas Live Season online service, which tracks and alters player attributes based on their real-life performance.

Look out for our full review of FIFA 09 closer to its 3rd October release on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC, DS and PSP.

Like this idea

EA Sports has added an online clan system to the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of FIFA 09.

The "Clubs" (it'll never catch on) support up to 50 players, giving you a pool from which to draw the strongest team for the ten-a-side Be A Pro online matches.

Those not picked can either sulk or cobble together another squad to go off and take part in other, simultaneous matches.

Clubs will initially be sorted by their points total (not sure how you earn those) and placed in one of many divisions. The season then opens and everybody goes bananas in an effort to be crowned the best of the best.

Club Managers (clan leaders) will also be free to scout and poach other players. There's no word on the intricacies of this, though.

PES on the PS3 is available to pre-order for £29.93 here...http://www.thehut.com/hut/9992287.product.

I'm going to give PES a miss this year, having bought FIFA and PES last year I'm sticking with FIFA this time around. Konami robbed their fans last year with a lame, glitching effort.

Just played the FIFA demo and I am very impressed, nice graphics, players sorta looking like the real person, the controls are easy enough, easy to pull off the tricks and stuff. shooting is very controlled. Only prob is it seems slow but i think thats becasue am used to the arcade still of PES.

So just need to see PES now and make a choice

PES 2009, Liverpool and some team they beat on Saturday are the licensed teams in this version.

Get in.

The best football game around for the past yr has been pro evo...on the ps2.

Destroyed the next gen versions of pro (I have both) and Fifa is still playing catch up when it comes to the real pro we know and love

I've just read about a feature on PES where you can just control 1 player through a career.

All my dreams come true if this turns out to be what i hope

yeah they copied FIFA 08 with the be a pro mode. mad how FIFA was chasing PES now PES has to steal FIFA's ideas to keep up. Although FIFA has 10 v 10 online.

The only PES I got was a cheap version for a £5 Pro Evo 4 and I didnt really like it.

ive been a Fifa fan since.........Jesus early 2000 I guess.

The only 1 I didnt buy was the Euro one but I owned Euro2004 and it was poo. The last 2 installments of Fifa were awesome and I will be getting the new one on Friday but Im very tempted to get it for the PS3 instead of the Xbox, mainly cus Ive 2 contollers for the PS and I hardley use the PS compared to the Xbox.

FIFA ROCKS

This will always be each persons opinion... which ever they play PES or FIFA will be god... the other shite... therefore I feel FIFA is shite

In any case any PES player will tell you that all the new features and options could not make up for how much the PES gameplay engine shits all over FIFA... sure PES have gone a little slack and sure us PES players WANT all of these extra features on top of a kick ass game of footy but to be honest give me a solid PES game over all the extras FIFA has anyday...

I know theres always the PES v FIFA debate with Fanboys saying the other is shite, but I have never bought a FIFA game in my life and I lived by PES, PES series was fecken awesome but the last one was shocking. The gameplay was awful and annoying at times. I was one of those who said FIFA was sh1te and PES would never be beaten, but EA moved on and stepped up were as PES stayed static as the footie king. Now they have copied a game mode off FIFA to compete as the be a legend mode was highly rated by everyone in the games industry.

I played the FIFA 09 Demo to give it a try and was actually impressed, the gameplay was solid and you actually feel in control of the ball the tricks and shooting/crossing. It has nice graphics, gameplay, features and a solid online option which is what you want from a game, isnt it?

Saying that PES demo is released on Thursday, and like Fifa i'll give it a go, i'll no doubt love it cause i love the PES series but if the two games are similar then i'll take the game with the licences and extra features and the better online option. (PES online was bad)

PES has no spainish league year, only 6/7 teams from spain, but has got the champ league and Liverpool and Man Utd as well as the editor.

Seen reviews for both games and both are scoring 8/9 outta 10 so its gonna be close.

If it comes to it i'll get FIFA then trade if i really want PES

Who knows

Well

Playing fifa 09 just now and Iam impressed, so much smoother, better gameplay & new custom tactics. You also get a code on the back of your manual which allows you to sign up free for a league of your choice, transfers, player news etcPlaying in the professional mode just now as it is pretty hard to score but it removes some of that buggy crap like players just dribbling the lenght of the park etc, also if you dont time your tackle or challenge right you fall on your arse and if you foul a player the ref lets the game play to a stop then books you

As i stated impressed

Fifa 09 is available instore at Tesco from Midnight tonight for £29.71.

I’m thinking about getting my copy from Blockbuster who have a deal where if you trade in a game from a specific list you get stickered chart titles for £9.99.

I don’t know the full list but it did include Battlefield:Bad Company, Tiger Woods 09 and Call of Duty 4. I intend trading in Battlefield, there are loads of shooters about to be released which will supersede Bad Company anyway, so may as well get £30 trade in for it.

Gaz, you got the full Fifa version already?

yep, that looks like the deal but was £9.99 in the Aberdeen store. The in-store deal does state "stickered chart titles" and not ALL chart titles like your screen grab refers to.

I got Battlefield:BC for £9.99 on release day by trading in Fight Night, I snapped their hands off when I saw Fight Night on the list.

So yes, it's defo £9.99, I was in the store last night. I just hope Fifa is a stickered chart title, all other chart titles were stickered last night so it should. I also hope they have some in stock!

I've got my girlfriend downloading PES while I'm at workl so I can play it tonight and make THE DECISION.

Although I'll probably buy both like I did last year.

Let's hope there are a few guys on here who buy Fifa to get a few online games going.

Default Re: Fifa V Pes

ohhh no what have they done to PES 2 years in a row

just played the demo i don't like it. It plays like the last one which is a bad thing

On a plus its the same old PES arcade style with a very arcade look to the menus, it runs at a fast speed, easy to start and get into a game. Its also closer to the action, i find FIFA camera is to far away, the players look small, also they got rid of that fecken sh1t crowd.

BUT

The things that bugged 08 bug this IMO, the keepers are crap, i had a cross, the keeper caught it then dropped it and i scored, it wasnt even a hard cross and there was noone near the keeper, Also it has that thing were u want a player to run in front of u so u can pass but they just stop. The players to me dont run smooth, it feels clunky.

I have played 5 games and i just cant like it. I have been a PES Fan and would regularly slate FIFA to PES but out of the two demos FIFA is better, not by a hell of a lot but better all the same. I'll play both some more tonight.

Tommorow its FIFA for me, 1st time a FIFA game has been my console footie game

This PES to me is similar to 08 and hasn't done enough for me to defect.

SORRY PES
