Excel help - subtracting a date from a date - The Punters Lounge

Basically just want to know if it's possible to subtract a date from a date to give the difference in years:-

i.e. 27/09/1932 - 03/04/2004 = 72.

If you subtract one date from another, the answer is in days - so do the subtraction and then divide by 365 (or 365.25

How you work the leap years will depend on what you're using it for and how accurate you need it)

If your answer is in date format, then just change the format to number.

I use the DateDiff function in VB6, Excel has the same VBA function.
