Default Excel help with sorting

Hi all,

Just a quick question in regards to sorting a table on Excel. Is it possible to sort a table like you can on some websites by clicking on the header of each column. For example i just made up this table:

TeamPWLDPts
Chelsea20190158
Liverpool20152348
Man Utd20121743
Arsenal20105535

So if i click on say 'W' then i can sort the table by the wins, or if i click on 'L' i can sort it by losses etc.

Cheers

As you know mate, I don't know much about Excel. But I am under the impression that by clicking on either A-Z Ascending or A-Z Descending, that it would rearrange that column from either highest to lowest or lowest to highest.

highlight Team to pts
then go to toolbar and click data.
from the dropdown menu click filter then autofilter.
This will put dropdown boxes in team through to pts
click on the one you want to sort and it gives you you options.

Yeh i know how to do it that way and ive set up different macros to enable me to sort my tables the way i want to. But i want to be able to sort a table just by clicking on the header of the page without having to make up all these macros.

Im not sure that Excel allows this function though

These are the tables im trying to sort, all my NBL ones. This is the first of 10. Ive set up a macro which sorts every single table on the page firstly by % then by Win Ratio and it does them all at once. I made up a command box and assigned this macro to it.

But what i also want to be to do is click is just say for example i want to sort the table above by games won, if i click the 'W' on the header is it possible to have like a link thing which will enable similar to the table in this link

Or even better, how would i upload them to a webpage and have them with sortable headers like in this link again

I had a look around and this seems to the job, though it might not be what you're after:

Private Sub Worksheet_BeforeDoubleClick(ByVal Target As Range, Cancel As Boolean)
Dim LRow As Long '-- double-click on column to sort
'Find last row in Column A with content
LRow = Cells(Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp).Offset(0, 0).row
Rows("2:" & LRow).Sort Key1:=Cells(2, ActiveCell.Column), _
Order1:=xldescending, Header:=xlNo, _
OrderCustom:=1, MatchCase:=False, _
Orientation:=xlTopToBottom
End Sub

Just change the column letter for the respective statistic that you are sorting
