Emoticons not animating in IE or Firefox

Howdy peoples...

Got an issue with my emoticons not animating in the smilies section when making posts.

Used to work fine but for past few weeks they have not in both Firefox and IE. Now I am assuming it's a file type association as they appear to be .gif files, but I have changed a few settings and nothing has changed.

Now it's Saturday morning here in OZ and i have to go play golf soon, well I don't have to, but it beats listening to screaming kids for a few hours, and was hoping one you knowledgable PL'ers out there may be able to provide a solution while I am out whacking golf balls through the woods.

Can anyone assist?
