I'm in the market for one at the mo,seems a good time to buy one ready to record Euro 2004. I'm looking at the Sony GX3,my budget is £400. Any advice/recemendations or even bad experiences.

I dont think there are any dvd recorders on the market that are div-x compatiable at the mo,although I think there are dvd players that do.

I wouldent go overboard George on the amount u spend on one, as these are first generation recorders (remmeber the old ferguson videostars with the piano keys) and they will become a lot smarter and smaller in a yr or so.

If u need one i'd get a cheaper one to tied u over, ive seen em in Sainsburys for £169.

Asdas are good for returns too, you could buy one from there, take it back in 10 or 11 months just say its making a noise, get ure cash back and buy summat thats a lot better than the models out now.
