Default DSF and Canal Plus on a Sky Digital box?

....apparently you can do a few things to it but I don't fancy moving me minidish in case I can't get the signal back and severely fook it up.

I don't know nothing about it to be honest but am asking because whenever I put the teletext up for Stan James betting in-running, they'll every so often cover an event on one of those channels.

Boy, am I depressed today.

Hi stereoman.

It's not like you to be down in the dumps mate. What's the problem?

Komp normally spills his guts in here. It seems to work for him (some kind of online therapy thing). I have also typed the odd depressing and serious diatribe on here as well. Mind you I normally get the piss taken out of me.

Anyway GC is the place to get your troubles shared. It's like an online Trisha. Beware the piiss takers though.

If you're still in your blue funk, I'll do my best to cheer you up, Stereoman.
I know of several things you can do with a Sky box.
You can climb up on the roof and tilt the dish up a bit and to the left (or was it right?) until you find Hotbird. From there you have to climb back down and find the Free to Air channels on your new dish position. You won't find Canal + 'cos you'll need to alter the characteristics of the built in CI in order to use your newly burned Conax-friendly card. When you've done that you can ring ole Rupert Murdoch and tell him his encryption system is still good as far as you are concerned.
And me.
And the rest of the planet.
The only system yet to be cracked, as far as I know.
Ask him for the codes if you see him.

I forgot to add: put a slightly larger dish up there while you're at it. The minidish won't do it.
Glad I could cheer you up.
I'll expect a return of favour sometime.

Not sure what kinda problem you may be having over there in the UK but DSF is a free-to-watch kinda stuff on the Continent as long as you can find the right direction to Astra (don't ask me how it just works somehow). I target hotbird from my weekendhouse, though.
And - DSF is pretty crap, the only footy you get there is the Monday match in Ger D2 and some FA cup matches (like the upcoming Saturday). The rest is handball, wood-cutting and stuff.
