Content IE5 and Virus Scan

I think thats what its called anyway,

Sorry this is my first visit to the techy forum.

What is content IE5 and what would happen if i deleted it? My works computer is so slow (Takes 2 mins to load a page on the PL >: ), i regulary delete cookies and temp internet files etc, but this barely helps.

Also, When i log on in the mornings for the past 3 weeks, Virus Scan comes up half a dozen times and gives me details of infected files (all from the PL) wtf's going on there? dont get none from other sites visited, no probs at home with it either. Ive already had an ear bashing last year about my internet usage and i'm gonna be close to getting the sack when the gaffer next does a check up i'm sure.

Any help greatly appreciated.
