When we were in Florida recently we found a rock music station that we all enjoyed;

Its possible to listen live but only if you're a US resident. Is there any way that I can hide my IP address? I know about loading a web page through an anonymous proxy but I want this website to think I have a US IP addy.

Is it possible to do it effectively?

Think you can do it through proxies to make it look as if youre IP address is from the US but not sure how.

I think AJs your man for this. I've had a look ongoogle but never managed to do it properly. I;d like to know too.

I know how to set firefox up to go through a proxy, but I've bever found a working anonymous proxy.

just try the ones from the US, with a bit of luck you can get by with a regular one and you don't need an anonymous one.

DP, I'm flattered by your perception of my intellect, but I'm really not that clever!!

How would I 'change' or mask it from the one I'm normally allocated?

I think this bit of software is about the best

http://www.iprivacytools.com/

A simple drop down menu and you will be connected to a proxy from the country you choose.

There is a small charge for it, but I found it on some torrent sites.

I'd try www.downloads.com and do a search for some that you can use on trial.

Any proxy you get will be slow though.

tools / internet options / connections /lan settings

Tick the box for proxy server and fill in your info
