Number 1. Download your Bittorrent Software

Number 2. Find the Game/Movie etc

Number 3. Time to start the download

Load the Bitcomet Software. Go to Open, Choose the File you downloaded. Be paient with it. Sometimes take 3-4 hours before it hits top download speed.

Number 4. Enjoy your Game/Movie

I've switched between torrents and DC++ for awhile now, mostly because I the torrents always seem to go sooooooooo slow (I have a 2mb connection and they never reach anything even approaching that).

I heard something about Service Pack 2 limiting the number of connections u can have open - is this anything to do with it?

e.g I've just started Half Life 2, and it's done 2.65mb in about 25 mins, and now it's stuck on 0kb/sec

Do they normally pick up after a few hours?

Depends on how many peers your conected to, if you want a good indication goto to www.empornium.us. Always get top speed.

Finally got Tiger downloaded Mike. Now what do I do? All I have is CD1/2/3 with loadsa shite inside.

Left it overnight and it finished, downloaded about 2.5gb so it must have gone pretty secent speed overnight

Grab this Mr I and either burn the .cue files to disk or else use the virtual drive to open them. Failing that use nero and burn as an image file.

Could anyone help me out here please. Dont seem to be getting anywhere with this download stuff. Have downloaded some music and when i come to play it a message appears

'This clip can not be played. It contain unexpected data and may be corrupt' Its an MP3 file so thought it would work.

This has been the case for a number of downloads.

Also a couple od films i have done and when come to play them a message pops up saying

'Windows can not recognise the file type'

Just wasted hours downloading stuff for nothing. How can you tell what downloads will work when your looking at which ones to chose.

The vast majority of my downloads work ok ..... I get them from either www.thepiratebay.org (for torrents) or http://www.overnetworld.com (for emule)

You may be missing CODECS on your machine - easiest way round this is to download VLC Media player which has them built in.

One I use for movies more than any other is ares.

Used to use limewire and others but found ares will find stuff others don't seem to. Also certain things seem to exist on others that stop you playing what you downloaded at times....

I have an image file (iso) but its 7.29 gb and obviously won't fit onto a standard DVD+RW (unless I'm doing something wrong via Nero)
What sizes do these discs go up to!

Sounds like it's Dual Layer (which is double a standard DVD)
