if you have a certain view and sing certain songs say mocking the other side i would class that sectarian, But other songs will contain reference but are telling of past events and not mocking or mentioning anyone else

So mocking someone elses beliefs is sectarian, but celebrating loyalist/provo murders isn't...???!!! I really don't understand the point you are trying to make mate, but I am intrigued...

Right, think I get the gist of it now...two factions within the same party/country/religion etc. being totally intolerant of the opposing view within their own people.

So, being the British national anthem...then isn't this sectarian???...

Lord grant that Marshal Wade
May by thy mighty aid
Victory bring.
May he sedition hush,
And like a torrent rush,
Rebellious Scots to crush.
God save the Queen!

Ahhh!

Good point that mate... now, IMO that isn't sectarian at all.

God Save The Queen is the Scottish national anthem (offically), but there are plenty of people who would want to see that changed...

Now... lets open it up a bit. That 'RAF from England shot them down' is sung at every England match, nothing happens.

How is that different from what Rangers/Celtic sing...? The Scottish clubs get investigated/fined/threatened with expulsion from Europe, and nothing happens to England....

The most inoffensive songs the Welsh chant are "You can stick your fcuking chariots up you arse" and "I'd rather wear a turban than a rose".

They should be investigated for racism imo

Obviously, I know what my thoughts are, but to the general public, what do you think?

If a song/chant (which may, or may not be sung by supporters of a particular football club/s) were to contain the terms IRA, or UVF, would that be a sectarian song/chant?

Its a simple yes/no question I guess...

Cheers
What do you expect from football supporters, a rousing chorus of Handels Messiah?

Nothing wrong with songs that refer to major events that shaped a nation, would you stop the French singing La Masailles or the americans the star spangled banner.

10 German bombers is a bit rough but doesn't cross the line.

I was at Ibrox years ago, and Rangers fans were signing, "I'd rather be a paki than a tim", that was a bit much for me.

Yeh, I used to be one of the crowd that chanted that 10 years ago. Would never sing it now!!!
However, does that make me less of a bigot.....or more of a racist???
Can't win either way.

Not all songs mentioning the named will be of murder if they do fair point that would be sectarian, Other songs as i said are of past events, for example The Helicopter song, one of the named gets mentioned in the song but nothing do with celebrating or to glorify sectarian acts.
