In less than a week, well Saturday June 16 to be honest and Ads, Jeffers and myself are off to Vodafone arena to see the legendary Axl Rose with backing band who are presumably Guns N Roses.

Well we all know they arn't Guns N Roses, it's just the nutjob Axl, but too good of an opportunity to pass up as doubt the nutjob that is Axl will be round our shores again.

I'm not expecting too much, actually understanding his voice would be a great start, but should a good show either way.

As for Jeffers, me and Ads thought it would be great for him to see someone diferent to Pet Shop Boys, Bros, Westlife, East 17 and the like.

We are trying to harden Jeffers up, and even the Gunners without most of the roses are better than the stuff Jeffers has been brought up on

When Axl belts out "You know where you are muthafcukers? Your in the jungle baby, Wake up, time to diiiiiiiieeeeeeeeee" I expect to see Jeffers on the ground cowering cos he aint no Pet Shop Boy, luckily me and Ads will be there to pick him up

Will be a great gig, ive listened to a few of the demo's of the new songs and they actually sound pretty decent. They say this new incarnation of Guns N' Roses are actually better musicians than the old ones, but they have no where near the charasima of the old members.

Actually got tickets to the Friday night show, so might hit both nights. The opening acts Rose Tattoo and Sebastian Bach will be good to see too

Yep seen them live in 1988 just as Paradise city came out, in fact if you look real hard Im in the video. Where it shows the concert from Donnington.

They wasnt really know that well then and they was only number 3 on the bill Even Dave Lee Roth was on later then Kiss then Iron Maiden.

We got stuck in traffic and missed the opening set from Helloween but got there just in time to see Megadeth

Attendance at the first festival in 1980 was 35,000, and this continued to grow to 107,000 at the 1988 show when 2 fans died in a crowd surge during the Guns N' Roses slot. The festival was cancelled in 1989 because of this.

yep I was there and my mum spent all day and night ringing the hotline phone number to see if it was me that was killed.
