Default Summer Washout!

How bad has the weather been this year where you live. I thought last year was bad but this Summer has been the worst I can ever remember. Constant downpours broken up by being overcast and an occaisonal beam of sun.

I really hate the fcuking rain and still have the autumn and winter to come yet.

I have noticed though on the forecast maps there always seems to be a big 25 over the London area so I guess you've had a reasonably nice summer there.

Moved into my new house about 4 weeks ago. Pissed it down every day since. I think this is worse than last summer. Damn that global warming.

Shocking weather in the South of Ireland ( only good thing is that Kerry have reached their 5th All Ireland football final in a row)

I'll say.

I've been able to go to sleep every night in comfort, I've been able to have my windows open and not have to listen to any outdoor parties, its been too cold for the dickheads in town to hang around and fight after a night out.

Fookin lovely, although it was tough yesterday being stuck on the M5 in the shitty, sunny weather.

PaulM talked about the fallacy of global warning and suggested that the last few hot summers we had was all part of either a natural cycle or down to aa period of "xxxxxxxx"...but I'm damned if I can remember the post or the name.

I can't help wondering if you were right all along Paul.

I think we've had the wetest winter for decades, seemed to rain every day for about 2 months.

Weather has broken now, blue skys are back and the temps are climing to around 20 degrees.

Today is offically the first day of spring and my garden is coming back into shape, tomatos have just been potted out.

In London it's been the wettest August I can remember.

The constant going changes are the sole reason I've been disappointed with my last two weeks of results - didn't show a loss but very inconsistent at a time I expect to do well.

When i went back to wales for a fortnight in the summer, every single day some event was organized that I was going to take someone- kids or
parents to - and every one was ruined by rain. I normallly never moan about weather as I realise it just evens out in the long run but this was really crap.

Fair Play to the Welsh tourist industry they had put on some really nice events in Pembrokeshire and Oakwood is a good themepark etc. But the weather shafted them worse than Joe Jordan in 78.

I ended up watching the Eisteddfod with the subtitles on - actually I like S4C programmes like Nos Lawen (sp)? its like going back in time - in a nice way I mean.

BTW I think this rain is linked to global warming as the extra energy in the enviroment leads to more water evaporating into atmosphere - im not a meterologist though.
