My mate got paid out. Apparently the cashier got the manager he spent 5 mins looking at it then paid him out. He reckons they know the scam but paid out coz he only had £20 on it. I bet my one doesn't pay out.

I reckon its all to do with the settler Joe. In my local bookie they were busy from yesterday's national and there was loads a pt bettors about in the queue and the girls were struggling a bit. Funny enough my line was on the top all ready to go but not in with the other footie bets. It must have been settled as it would have had the returns (£69.09) on it for the cashier to pay me out. I thought 'easy life' as i walked up to town (sunday buses) to collect another 70 notes.

this time however the woman who i know pretty well from outside the shop said £40 and i said 'errr no' and she said some part of the bet was void to which i asked 'which part' as if i didnt know (fool) she then asked the big fella on the settling desk and he looked up from his mass of bets on a shitty sunday afternoon and said there was a Friday game. I felt a right cnut and had to ask my pal to put on a line for me in the 3.40 at hereford or somewhere (2/1 fav, 2nd, faded 1 out) as i was embarrassed.

I then considered asking for my other tenner back on the bet with Morton on the same coupon i put as a kinda camoflage but thought better of it and went. Got a new lamp, mouse mat and headphones on the way though

We still had a chance of losing but i hope some of you took the value like Joe and myself

If i wasnt banned from driving at the moment I would have gone to about 5/6 bookies in town and had between £30 to £50 on each.
