OK, continuing on from this thread: Punters Lounge Own a Racehorse

OK, so the current list of interested parties are:

Ok, so at the moment we have 13 interested and we are now getting to the stage where if we are to go forward with this we need to get the exact numbers. I will PM those listed and ask them to confirm their interest. Then I will set up a new thread where we can discuss pricing etc.

As we stand, with 13 members, the costs would be:

ownaracehorse:

Average price: £400 for a 1% share (outright cost and you need 2.5% for a synicate.

This means the cost will probably be: £1000/13 = £76.92 per member - one off payment for 1 season.

Diamond Racing

Fixed price: £99 p/m for a 1% share and access to inside info -> £1188 per year /13 members = £91.38 per member - one off payment for 1 year.

These are only 2 examples, and I know there are many others. This is just a price range and we will discuss options once we get people interested and names down.

What I need now, is for people to let me know whether they would be interested in this based on the prices above. These are 1 off prices and you will not be asked to pay anything more until the next year.

Diamond have a 30 day opt out clause and ownaracehorse is only for a certain period of time anyway.

As I said, there are pros and cons to every service, and we will discuss that once we get a list of interested people.

I will set up the poll again but please post your thoughts in the thread and this is still open to everyone.

OK, couldnt retrieve the results from the poll, so some may have been missed out. I apologise for this.

Anyway, up to 15 now which decreases the cost even further.

If anyone else wants added, just post in the thread or vote in the poll and I will keep the list updated.

At those sort of prices, i'd be most definitely interested. Perfect really.

P.s. Thanks for tryign to arrange all this - it's really appreciated. As an unnoficial foootie tournament/xmas party organiser for my last job, I know what a fookin ball ache these sorta thigns can be in *real life*, never mind when you dont know people from adam, so nice one.
P.p.s. One to consider, if we do get more numbers than expected and the cost comes right down, perhaps we could increase the number of shares we get so the cost is still reasonable, but we own a bigger chunk? Just a thought.

It something I always wanted to do personally, and thought it would be even better to do it as part of a forum. As we get closer to taking this forward though, I will have to speak to Paul Ross as I think everyone would be happier if the money went through him, as he is a trustworthy party.

It is the plan if we get plenty interested to increase the share, but we will need to see first. As long as it stays around the current price range I think many would be happy.

Was involved on another site in part share of a racehorse was good fun and the horse did manage to win.....

Yes, I would be interested, depending on when the money was needed as brassic at the moment and going back to (Spanish) school tomorrow for 6 weeks

I have voted yes and as said above if the amount per person decreases then it may be worth asking the question of purchasing a larger share etc.
