PL Film Club - Now attempting to watch Atonement

I'll be hiring it out tomorrow night most probably but like Guy Fawkes I am a little surprised we don't really seem to be discussing each film all that much

Surprise surprise Blockbuster don't seem to have it. Will need to make a purchase.

Watched this just. Excellent film. Very well directed, and there was something about it that just made it different to most biopics.
Is a long film but whizzed by. I had never heard of Edith Paif but will be looking her up as she seemed to lead a very interesting life.
The lead actress was excellent, and i believe she won an oscar etc for the role, and totally deserved
I would also like to see the directors films, anyone seen any others? i liked his style and he made what could have been a run of the mill biopic into an engrossing tale of Edith Plaifs life.
Had never heard of this film before, but thanks for pointing it out to me Mileni.

I downloaded it myself. Took a few days

While looking into her and seeing a few reviews I noticed had some bad ones from the critics Mark Kermode etc cause they left out a big part of her life during the war but this didn't effect me as i knew nothing about her when i watched the film
Has a good score still on imdb

Yea, watched it last ngiht. Can see it's a film that would divide opinion easily which is why I suggested it. despite it being unclear whats going on throughout the film the hints and similarities kept me interested and I was entertained
