Dermot O'Leary's Saturday Sessions is pretty good, similar kinda thing to Live Lounge - some really cool covers, notably Lily Allen's Everybody's Changing.

ayyyyyyy
ohhhhhhhh

ayyyyyyyy
suburban days, they last so long
in shop and office, we sing our song
we all sing "we aint got nothing, nothing to do, a big fat nothing, nothing for me nothing for you"
suburban dreams, just out of reach
work till you die, thats what they teach you at school
with that in mind, whats there to lose
my friends and i dose up on tv fags and booze
hear them all singing
ayyyyyy were the ones that youve forgoten
ooooooh but we will not be denied
ahhhhh coming out of the shadows
ayyyy yeah yeah we rock the sattellites
suburban nights, they get so hot
people get angry, we sing our song we all sing "but global terror they say, we are at war, but aint got time for that coz these bills keep dropping through my door" oh oh
hear them all singing
ayyyyyy were the ones that youve forgotten
ohhhhhhh out of mind out of sight
ahhhhhhhh coming out of the shadows
ayyyyyyy yeah yeah we rock the sattellites
all these people who, critisize us well, theyre only saying what were seeing with our own eyes
this one way system it aint, it aint paradise
not everybody... wants to race, wants to fight
hear them all singing
ayyyy were the ones that youve forgotten
ohhhhh but we will not be denied
ahhhhh coming out of the shadows
ayyyyy yeah yeah we rock the sattellite
ayyyyyy were the ones that youve forgotten
ohhhhh out of mind out of sight
ahhhhh coming out of the shadows
ayyyyy coming live via sattellite

Downloaded The Enemy - We'll Live and Die In These Towns and absolutely love Had Enough. They sound like a modern day Jam in parts, especially the title track from the album. A real sing along summer track for the car.

My favourite song of the moment by my favourite band. If this is the next single it might go top 20. Performed at Peterborough.

Debut single Over The Barricade went in the charts at 35, only 2nd ever unsigned band to make the charts. If you like this type of music they are doing a live session on Janice Long's show on Radio 2 early hours of 30th August. They are only just starting to get noticed, about time too.

Been described as a mix between the jam, the who and oasis.

A real kick ass album.

I had never really listened to the 70s 80s American power ballad group JOURNEY until they were given a recent publicity boost by being in the last ever scene of the SOPRANOS. http://youtube.com/watch?v=rnT7nYbCSvM

http://youtube.com/watch?v=ip1zsUIosoA

While looking for the above I discovered this unknown group covering the song
http://youtube.com/watch?v=zV5LM_AARY0

and another JOURNEY cover
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Wap5a5On3vo

Pretty good performance for unknowns - who are they?

The Stereophonics - Pull the Pin
I managed to acquire () this album the other night and it is an absolute belter. Now i know the 'phonics aren't everybodys cup o' tea but i think this is a blistering return to form from Kelly and the boys. Even the most hardened fan (ie, me) would say that the last 2 albums were pretty poor really, and werent a patch on the early stuff on Word Gets Around/Performance and Cocktails, but this album sort of goes back down that road, the guitars are back, the catchy tunes are back.

Another cracking album from a cracking band, IMO

How did you get that so early???

I went to see them at Blackpool Winter Gardens the day before they did the Radio 1 gig and they played a lot of the new stuff that seems to have gone back to the rockier sounding phonics like the 1st 2 albums. Some stuff they did like JEEP was really poor and they sold out 4a while. Their new stuff sounded good and their old stuff is just great live. Was 50/50 over whether to go see them on tour and then they announced the support act as The Enemy so I've booked tickets now for Sheffield, can't wait. Looking forward to the new album and more so to seeing 2 great bands at 1 show. Also going to see My Chemical Romance 3 days after that and still trying to get tickets for Foo Fighters the day after MCR.
