I urge all of you to listen to 'system of a down'
recent song is "BYOB"(bring your own bombs".
these guys are the dogs dangly bits.

The front man SERJ TANKIAN has such an amazing voice its unreal.

Take BYOB (Bring Your Own Bombs), a heavy protest against the Iraq war that breaks into a cheerily sarcastic singalong: "Dancing in the desert, blowing up the sunshine." Or Question!, which weaves elements of their Armenian heritage into a bombardment of guitars.
These guys know metal. But with this record and its upcoming part-two companion piece "Hypnotize," both of which were recorded with Rick Rubin, the band takes its signatures down another heavy metal highway.
The near-acoustic "Soldier Side - Intro" reminds you of the boys' prowess behind the mic, but then comes "B.Y.O.B." and "Ravenga," two of the most vocally blistering tracks in System's catalog. The perfect marriage between Queen and Slayer, the music rages via intense structural shifts, basic but effective harmonies and paint-peeling guitars.
And that's just the first three tracks.
just listen to
SERJ TANKIAN voice hes awesome.

Ive got the first album 'toxcity' and if you like metal/hard stuff but dont like this then

your gay

download the album buy steal it rob it.
just listen it

Why do they always send the poor

Barbarisms by Barbaras
With pointed heels
Victorious victories kneel
For brand new spankin' deals

Marching forward hypocritic and
Hypnotic computers
You depend on our protection
Yet you feed us lies from the tablecloth

Everybody's going to the party have a real good time
Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine

Kneeling roses disappearing into
Moses' dry mouth
Breaking into Fort Knox stealing
Our intentions

Hangers sitting dripped in oil
Crying freedom
Handed to obsoletion
Still you feed us lies from the tablecloth

Everybody's going to the party have a real good time
Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine

Everybody's going to the party have a real good time
Dancing in the desert blowing up the sunshine

Blast off
It's party time
And we don't live in a fascist nation

Blast off

And where the **** are you?

Sorry but anything political is bollox. I wont even bother to listen to it.

Whats the matter with good old fashioned songwriting?

Did you buy G.Michaels "shoot the dog" as well?

Nah, not for me.

If the tunes really good then all they do is spoil it with their preaching. U2 went down that road but luckily learnt from their mistakes.

I've listened to the new Nataile Imbruggia CD in the car today.

Fairly nice album, no surprises on, nice guitar based songs. If you liked Torn you'll like this album, if you didn't......

Wouldn't pay for it, but it's a pleasent enough download

New Order- Waiting for the Sirens Call

good solid album this, no tracks that stand out and make you think "oh my god thats brilliant" but every some is a really good song. Despite me wanting to hate ever New New Order song, as they should have gave up years ago. I can't hate any of these, very good album indeed would recommend it

I'm still undecided about gorillaz, have to listen to it a bit more first

Thanx Bruise, the girlfriends just walked in and said that if she hears "blue Light" one more time she´s gonna leave me
That and "this modern love" are being played constantly in my front room now.

Got a bit of a Beach Boys thing going on (when I first heard Forever Lost I assumed it was a Beach Boys song I'd not heard before), very good

Right here we go

The White Stripes- Get Behind Me Satan
I have decided this is shite, which really hurts me to say because the white stripes were one of my favourite bands. Basically I love their crunching riffs, raw blues/rock sound, so when I heard blue orchid I was well excited. Unfortunately the rest of the album is bland, ballady kind of stuff, with pianos and silly songs about nurses and ghosts, just shite really. just so disappointing when it really could have been excellent

The Gorillaz- Demon Days
One word: Fcuking class! Really cool funky album. If you like Feel Good Inc you'll love the rest of the album. Highlights for me are the song about the volcano (forgot the name now) and the great Dare. I hope they release this as a single. I'm sure (although I may be imagining it) that Shaun Ryder sings on this song. its cool anyway. All in all a feel good, funky, record, good for any occasion. Party, chilling, anything really

Foo Fighters- In Your Honour
the priniciple behind this worried me, a cd of loud songs (great) and a cd of acoustic songs (the type o which I can often find the foos going bland.
Ironically, its the acoustic one that I think overshadows the loud one. Really shows Dave Grohl's talent as a song writer. The loud cd is normal foos catchy rock. not as good as earlier stuff. If you were to put together a best of foo fighters I dont think any of these loud songs would make it on

just got new doves album (well its nearly old now, but you know what i mean)

will review it in a few days

Saw the magic numbers a few weeks ago (great in a small intimate venue, cant see it working at a large event) and borrowed the album the other day off the girlfriend who loves them. First few songs are great, really melodic, more beautiful south than beach boys for me, but they run out of steam in the second half of the album and it all gets a bit slow and fiddly.

wife has just bought me this today.
Listening to it now.
Ive got the "one not so loud"CD one its awesome.
Agree with what you say bruise regarding Dave Grohl's voice.
so dynamic and so controlled even if hes blasting out tunes at top of his voice or accustic(sp) session.

Not sure I'd say it runs out of steam, definitely changes, but there's some of the better songs (Don't Give Up The Fight and Love's A Game) in the second half.

I must admit I like the Magic Numbers album too. First few tracks are exceptional but the rest are growers imo.
