Default Football Manager 2005

Anybody else got this game?

I got it from play.com £17.99 delivered (cheapest ive seen) and it came yesterday.

My machine is 1.1ghz and 128mb Ram so I knew it would struggle to run on my slow computer.
It says it recommends at least 600mhz and 128mb Ram but recommends 1.8ghz and 256mb Ram.

I set it up with the lowest game play options but it is absolutly unplayable on my machine. Skipping between screens can take as long as a minute when it should be instant.
Its a shame cos the game is in championship manager format with additional features and updated as of last month.

Anybody got any recommendations for me to get it working properly? Ive cleaned my machine and deleted nearly everything but it always seems to run a lot slower than it should. I am trying to do a deal with work and swap my PC for one of theres (there the "server" PC's which are never used so it shouldnt matter what spec they are).

Darlo, sounds like you're going to have set it to the smallest database of players, that should be a lot quicker.

Get a 256mb stick of SD Ram for £20 Darlo. Check the make of your motherboard to see what it can handle and wether it likes SD or DDR RAM very important that as i blew up a comp last year.

Here Hereford FFC are selling their ootie Manager 2005 for £15
