Default Christmas and New Year plans

What you got lined up for this year? Going away? Having family / friends over? Working!?
For me Xmas Day will be just the missus and me having a quiet day before she goes off to see her family on Boxing Day as I'm working all day (24hrs).
For New Year got 4 nights in a 5* hotel in Budapest to celebrate and get ratted, can't wait.

sounds good mate

my plans are all over the place at the moment with moving house but after working 9 of the last 10 xmases, we decided to have this one off to spend with our baby but a big to swansea nhs trust for refusing to let my wife have annual leave over xmas (despite having agreed to it earlier in the year) and putting her on xmas eve or xmas night has spoilt it a little (shes half Danish so we either miss out on her 'Danish xmas', xmas eve, or she has to go all day xmas day, waiting to go to work ) - ho humbug

as for new year, i'm working the early and the late around new years night and shes working new years night, but tbh i'm past all that now so not overlly bothered.

its our wedding anniversary in jan, so we're going to york for a few days to celebrate - thats more what i'm looking forward too

Christmas day im locking the front door, putting my shorts on slippers on and my old t-shirt on and Im doing fook all.

I have never once in my entire life spent Christmas day at home.
I usually travel round to everyone's house for an hour or two at a time.
Only to get home at around 7-8pm knackered and in need of a drink.
Kids dont have chance to play with there new stuff until boxing day because they have been up since stupid'o'clock and are completly wasted by the time we get home.

So this year if anyone wants me to come round to their house or if your planning on coming round to mine...........................................

You can Fook off!!!

if people do wanna come round to yours, its probably best you get dressed first, before you go to the front door mate

Na bollox to that, I'll just stand at my front door with both dogs either side, then there will be 3 hairy animals at the door to warn the visitors off.

at the moment, Like Carl, I`m hoping to go nowhere and have a great day locked in the house with the family. But the Mrs hasn`t been given her shifts for ther xmas period yet so it could all change.

But xmas day will probably entail watching the kids unwrap all of their presents and then prefer to play with the scraps of wrapping paper and toy boxes rather than what was inside them.

Once christmas day is over that`s pretty much it and back to normal for me, although if my mrs is off work on boxing day, I love nothing better than to go up to the pub/bookies/pub/bookies/pub/bookies...... you get the drift for what is the best day of sport in all of the year in my opinion

going up to stay with the ma in Scotland over Christmas and New Year (no courts open for me so, to you wage slaves ). However, if anyone can give me a way to tell the missus that the drive from London to Tayside involves going via an executive box for the Wrexham- Darlo game I am open to suggestions...it is the first anniversary of kicking smoking so I deserve it.
Normally return to London on 2nd January to ensure I don't kill the mother and bury her half way up a mountain. Anyone with a Welsh mother will know what 2 weeks in the back of beyond can mean; for example, I don't need telling I am drinking too much and, if I should lose some weight.....DON'T KEEP PUTTING FOOD IN FRONT OF ME!!!.
The 3rd January will see me start the diet I perfected this year, which resulted in me putting on almost a stone...if anyone wants a copy then pm me.

Oh Barton, haven't you heard?

The M1 and A1 and A1M are closed from (insert date here) to (other date here) for essential safety maintenance.

She HAS to believe you cos you're a solicitor and they never lie, do they?

Plus it will give you the opportunity to test out the newly opened A500 on the way through....

And don't forget its your turn to visit Carl this year cos he isn't going out.

erm....

Thats my best efforts I'm afraid. Enjoy Scotland.

In fact, I have just told her I am typing an advice and she has said,
"No you are not, you are either on Red-Passion or Punters Lounge, aren't you?"
Damn she's good...she is in another room!!

Fooking hell , a box at their place means you get an input on who make's as a sub during the first half

You are so wrong...it means I AM one of the subs but, having seen our current loan strikers, a 48 year old with dodgy knees and a beer belly I have spent years paying for could be an improvement!!
